This place is so cozy and friendly. In a lot of years around Greece, I've been in many places and slept in many studios and I returned to Xerokampos after 10 years. Margarita and Maria are lovely, superfriendly and always there for you. The position of the studio is perfect, close to the tavernas and with a wonderful sea view. Kitchenette full equipped. The studio was spacious, comfortable and clean. Xerokampos is a diamond on Crete and stay at Asteras was a pleasure. Thanks to Margarita and Maria. Hantra Thalassia!

We have just spent five very happy days staying at the Asteras Apartments. Residing in a stylish, comfortable, well-equipped and spacious apartment, we enjoyed the far-reaching and fabulous views of sea, mountains and the lovely garden - particularly beautiful at sunrise and sunset. Located within walking distance of the village tavern and store, Asteras Apartments are also close to a number of stunning beaches of white sand, pastel pebbles and the crystal-clear and sparkling azure waters of the Libyan Sea. The accommodation is also well located for walks in the Zakros Gorge and the Canyon of Xerokampos (a UNESCO Global Geopark) and a visit to the Minoan palace at Kato Zakros. But the leading stars at Asteras Apartments are the lovely mother and daughter duo, Maria and Margarita, who run the show. Ladies, a HUGE thank you for your warm welcome and for making us feel so much at home. Thank you for the delicious homemade marmalade, raki and pastries. Thank you for all the local advice and information. Thank you for your help and care when a pharmacy was needed. You go to so much trouble to look after all your guests and you made our stay very memorable and special.

I liked everything! Amazing staff, Maria and Margarita are excellent owners. Friendly and always available for everything you may need. Excellent apartments with all the needed, very clean, there's even the Moka to make the Italian coffee...what else!!?? Value for money, for this price it is impossible to find something else better. They also provided the beach umbrella for free and the best thing was raiki and some sweets made by them when we arrived. 10 and more!!

Everything. Location is nice and quiet. Margarita was super friendly and gave us some advices. We also got some homemade marmelade, cookies and wine. Apartment was really clean and we got complimentary shower kits and soaps. It almost felt like home and Margarita made it seem like we are almost family. I would recommend this place to anyone who apprecitiate quiet ambience and stunning nature.

The position of our apartment had a wonderful view, having breakfast in front of the sea in complete silence is the best you can ask. The apartment we stayed was clean and complete, the staff was very kind and professional. Nothing, was perfect for me.

I loved the view, it was really perfect. All of the rooms seem to have the same amazing view. The studio is very comfortable and well cared for. You will feel the love as soon as you arrive and experience the true Cretan hospitality. Compared to other accommodations in the area, I like that Asteras is just slightly back, you don't get any street noise and have privacy. Not having to use my car every second was splendid. There are several beaches you can walk to as well as a handful of restaurants. I highly recommend this place!

We'd have appreciated if the garbage had been emptied during our stay!

Margarita was very helpful and friendly. Our room was beautiful, with two balconies and stunning sea views. Bed was comfy and the kitchenette was handy. We were given homemade cake and marmalade on arrival, and when we asked for more tea, this was not a problem at all. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a very comfortable room in this beautiful part of Crete.

Absolutely nothing

Room was sparkling clean, bed very comfortable and amazing view from the balcony. Free parking on the spot. The owners are amazing hosts, always smiling and willing to help if needed. They left treats at the arrival (homemade cake, marmalade, water and raki) - Maria's cake is to die for! Thank you so much for being so awesome and making our stay perfect!

We were very fortunate to have booked at Asteras apartments and received wonderful hospitality from Margarita and her mum Maria and dad Pavlos. They were so helpful and kind to us. The apartments are in a beautiful location with wonderful sea and garden views, they are beautifully furnished and extremely clean and well cared for. We have travelled all over Crete and we really have found a very special place. We cant wait to return next year.

Margarita is a perfect host, she is plenty of advices for the area. The room had the kitchen inside with a balcony with sea view. There is a beach in front of the hotel, walking just for 8 minutes.

Maybe some sun loungers?

The views are spectacular and the ladies running the place are very friendly and gave us their biscuits and raki … their raki and cakes are exceptional… 10 minutes walk to beach which is ok for swimming in places…a few minutes walk also to the very good taverna Kostas…this is a quiet rural location which is good for spotting birds although there were no flamingos on the lagoon the few days we stayed although we did see Eleanor falcons in the hills
