I loved the old, traditional, restored building. The owner was such a lovely, interesting woman. The location was perfect - next door to the Fortezza and also to restaurants, cafes, shops. The mattress was great.

With better tools (e.g. knives, peeler) the kitchen could be upgraded considerably. Besides that we loved everything.

Another unexpected gem! It felt like such a privilege to be able to stay in that beautiful house full of bougainvilleas (my favourite!) over the owner's renowned ceramic atelier. Even though in November it can get a little bit chilly, due to all the wood (roof, windows, shutters, floor) the room has a very warm feeling to it. Yes, it is small and the kitchen is almost miniscule, but it's enough. You're not supposed to stay in all day anyway, but go out and explore equally beautiful Rethymno :-) For breakfast I recommend whipping something up in the kitchen and then take the food and the chairs outside in the sun. There is a small table outside. There is no parking lot of course, but (at least during off-season) it is possible to find a free parking space next to the fortress. Just ask the owner before you arrive.

On Arrival, we were offered the choice of two rooms. We chose the smaller one as it had a balcony. It included a well equipped kitchinette with a fridge. The location was perfect close to the fort in a quite street. The owner, Frosso, makes and sells her beautiful ceramics in the shop below. My suitcase was not big enough for all that I would have liked to buy! We stayed 2 nights but would liked it to have been longer

Great Location inside Old Town. Upgrade upon arrival which was a nice surprise. Host is in the Ceramics Atelier around the corner from the actual rooms. Quiet at night and just steps away from the fort.

Really clean cosy appartment right next to the castle in the center of the old town in a historic building. Everything easy to reach but still quiet an calm. Many restaurants and supermarkt next door. Lovely host, who runs the pottery shop in the same building. Eventhough I arrived too early she was super flexible and gave me the key early. All in all definitly a place I would like to come back to!

Only small downside is the drain in the bathroom does sometimes have a slight smell, but that’s often unavoidable in older buildings - it did not detract from my lovely stay!

Really nice apartment in the old town, close to the waterfront and fortress, with a beautiful flower-covered balcony. The room was comfortable and clean and the owner was lovely and hospitable!

The aesthetic of the room was amazing and the location of the room was very good. At the entrance of the apartments you can find the hosts ceramic atelier which I found amazing. The room was clean and well equipped moreover because all of the walls are stone walls the temperature is okay even when outside is hot. My experience with this room was great and the host went out of her way to accommodate me and my friend I will definitely book this room again in the future!
