Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsWe really enjoyed our stay at Villa Masia. The place is located in the middle of rice terraces and surrounded by beautiful nature. The staff is amazing!! They’re so hardworking and kind. The place can not be reached by car, but the staff is 24/7 available to bring you to the city by scooter. The pool is amazing as well and makes your stay very comfortable. I can definitely recommend this stay!

AustraliaIt could take a bit longer to check in/ check out if you have multiple larger luggage’s since the staff need to make more trips to transfer everything. So travel light in this location is recommended
It was very spacious with new view. Villa provides free ride from central ubud to villa which only takes 3min each time. It was also an easy walk back to the villa if you prefer to enjoy the scenery along the way.

NetherlandsThe location is only good if you rent a scooter. There is a lot of humidity in the room which damaged the walls and permeated to the sheets. The swimming pool needs some maintainance (Beautiful in the pictures but muddy around the perimeter).A water boiler was missing in the room.
Staff is nice. Checking experience was very smooth and the lady at the reception is very kind. Location is very good for relaxing from the busy Ubud. Room was clean. Coffee was good. Bucolic bath also good. Quite at night. The garden around the complex is very well maintained and beautiful. Internet was good.

AustraliaThe description of the property as being 1.5km from the center of Ubud is not accurate - it's considerably more than that. The swimming pool is useless to those of us who actually like to swim laps for exercise as the shallow end is only ankle deep.
The location and the alignment of the villas. I wanted to be outside Ubud into the peace and quiet of the rice fields. And that is precisely what I got. The villas are positioned so that each one has a clean view over the rice fields from its balcony.

CroatiaThey clean floors, and make beds on daily bases. Only problem is that they don't clean anything else (sink, furniture, windows) so it make is feel very dirty.
Staff is very nice and friendly. They will help you with everything. Would book there again

AustraliaThe villa is not accessible by car, however, scooter transport is provided to and from the central car park in Ubud. This was a fun experience, and their punctuality was impressive. The staff were delightful and extremely accommodating to our requests. Additionally, the cafe and restaurant at the villa offered great value. Highly recommend!

AustraliaThe location of these villas is fantastic. Only minutes from Central Ubud but surrounded by beautiful rice fields (15 minute downhill walk to the centre). The high-ceilinged rooms were amazing with great air conditioning. Beds and pillows were excellent. The 24/7 moto taxi service to drop guests into town and pick up after was so helpful (this is how you actually arrive there, along with your luggage)! Cars cannot make it up the narrow road to this property. The included breakfast had some simple Indonesian and Western choices but served up in a fantastic setting. The walks through the rice fields that you can start from the villas were some of the best we enjoyed in the Ubud area. Lovely pool area too. We really liked this property and its location - we’d certainly stay there again.

United KingdomThe fact that we need to rely on the staff for pick up. It was raining when we arrived, and we waited +30 and was very hard to get in touch as nobody was picking up the phone or replying on WhatsApp that was a downside as to walk its still roughly 2.5km from the main street. Besides this everything was OK
The staff is very kind and they are always available. The swimming pool is quite nice.

AustraliaMosquito net around bed needed a clean as we could see dead bugs trapped in there. There is no kettle for tea and coffee in room.
The hotel is located on a rice terrace with no car access so hotel staff pick you up from the city centre in motorbikes. This was a really fun and unexpected experience. They provide a 24 hr scooter shuttle service to the city centre upon request and from there you can order a grab or explore shops and restaurants on foot. Rooms are large and have all basic amenities you would need.

United KingdomIt is in the rice fields which although is lovely, its just so out of the way. Staff picked us up and dropped us off at the car park which is great but we would have preferred to stay somewhere more central. The rooster that wakes us up at 6am wasn’t ideal and there were so many ants but this is expected in such a setting.
Very cute setting and staff were lovely. They also provided us with a taxi to Canguu and the driver was fantastic.

FinlandLocation is pretty remote. We were traveling with kids and the only way to get to the villa is by scooter (street is too narrow for car). If you take this into consideration, the villa is really peaceful.
The views from villa are really nice. Own pool is really good and also there is children pool in main area. In the breakfast there were plenty of options too choose from. Room was clean.

AustraliaStayed in the end villa, the shower water pressure was very low in the afternoon and outside bath was unusable due to faulty plug and cracks in bath, which was disappointing. Bathroom ceiling cornice repairs required above the master bathroom door (exit to pool).
Location was fabulous, took us by surprise riding scooters through rice fields to get to accommodation, which was a fun experience. Masia pillows on the beds were amazing. The staff were super helpful. Peaceful location. Roosters, chickens, ducks and even fire flies!
