Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe bed was a little too firm for us and you could feel the plastic from some of the buttons through the sheets. Probably due for an upgrade or a mattress topper.
We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of season and, although the owners and usual staff were away during our visit, we were made to feel very welcome for the duration of our stay. We appreciated the local recommendations on places to eat and things to do as well as all of the information that was shared and our friendly greeting at breakfast each morning. The breakfast was lovely with a choice of local meats and cheeses, bread, sweet treats, cereals, fruit and yogurts - we left well fed each day. We chose the property for the location as you can (safely) walk into the centre (circa 40minutes to old town) or drive (10 minutes) and for the setting in the olive grove, which was lovely and peaceful with lots of bird song. We appreciated the table and chairs outside of the room so we could sit out on an evening after dinner - they also had a space to dry clothes / swimwear in the garden and you could borrow umbrellas for the beach, which was nice touch. The pool area is lovely and the loungers comfortable although during our visit the water was just a bit too cold to enjoy fully and there were lots of mosquitoes so we didn't sit out for too long (obviously not the fault of the hotel). Room very clean and quiet.

PolandIt was very pleasant stay! Hotel is located in stunning area (olive's garden), unfortunately better accessible by car from Alghero center. Room was very clean and has interesting design. We're very recommended delicious breakfast with only fresh ingredients! We will definitely come back someday!

BelgiumBreakfast was very fresh and good. We did not use the pool but it was nice to have one. It is very close to beautiful beaches and to Alghero and Bosa. Lots of lovely places to visit. The property was very well equipped, including an area to hang your swimming costumes and towels after the beach, to dry, which they did very quickly. The property also provided sun umbrellas and mats that one could borrow for the stay. It was nice to have our own two chairs and little table in front of the room, to sit outside in the evenings.

PolandBeds were not so comfortable for us as mattresses were falling apart. We were in October night become little colder so asked for a blanket but got kind of a bed cover not so clean...
Room on average standard, but what I liked the most was the olive grove all around. Close to the city so in 8 min you can reach the center by car and enjoy, and in the same time very silent place no noice disturbing you when you come back. Nice hosts and breakfasts quite ok. No internet in the rooms, weak at the pool - for some it may be an advantage, for others it may be a disadvantage.

Nice 'country park' feel to this accommodation. We arrived a bit later than planned in the evening and couldn't initially get in the gated grounds as there was no answer from the chap on reception but the lady (who I think owned the property) answer on mobile and handled it. The couple who owned the property were lovely and met all our needs at the wonderful and plentiful breakfast. The room was large with plenty of space to put your things. Very peaceful and quiet at night. There was a nice pool, although we didn't get chance to use it during our stay. It is a good 30 minutes' walk into Alghero, so we drove which was fine as it was only c 10 mins.

United States of AmericaThere is really no Internet but they tell you that on the website.
The site is lovely and the owners were gracious. The rooms are very comfortable. It is out of the main city but we took taxis and that was fine. The drive is also easy and there is a high parking lot near the city center.

FinlandI have no complaints.
What an absolute wonderful place to stay. The country hotel is located on a big olive farm, 30 minutes (walking) or 10 minutes (car) from the center of Alghero. We arrived by car, but we also walked to the center and back multiple times, there is a sidewalk from the hotel to the center, so walking is actually safe and nice. We stayed there in the beginning of September. The hotel is extremely calm and it is very relaxing to chill in the pool area. The pool area is very nice and has comfy chairs. Rooms are clean and have more space that I assumed. I also loved the decoration in the rooms, it is modest but super cute. Some people have commented that the bathroom is old fashioned and I can confirm that they are not the most modern. However, I think it fits perfectly to the style, everything was extremely clean and everything works, I have absolutely no complaints. The breakfast is good and the coffee excellent. The people working there are also very nice and the hotel has cats, which is a big plus from my side. I am a fan of super soft beds, so if you are like me, you will find that this bed is not the softest bed, but more on the firm side. This is a matter or taste. All in all, I recommend this hotel if you are looking for relaxing and calmness.

AustraliaOnly a small thing but the toaster, nothing worse than having to wait around for ages in the morning just to make a bit of toast, upgrade please they are only $50 for an amazing new one. Other than that breakfast was great
We stayed here with our family, we had 2 rooms next to each other on the ground floor which was great, there is a huge car park right near the rooms so it was easy to carry our luggage across. The host was very nice, the pool was fantastic, the location is only 2 min out of town so perfect for getting away from the business of the city and relaxing in the country side. Lost of restaurants near by so no need to travel far at night Thanks we enjoyed our stay a lot

United KingdomNothing.
Great location, only a short drive out of town so it was very quiet! Fabulous pool - though in April it was too cold for swimming. The room was spacious and clean, though I'd take slippers next time as the floor was super cold! It was a very idyllic location, being an old olive farm, with olive groves all around and a long drive up to the beautiful villa. Breakfast was super, with lots of choice. Everyone we met was very friendly and welcoming too. I'd definitely recommend Hotel Vesus to anyone visiting Alghero as you got the best of town and country. Relaxing by the pool after a busy day exploring was glorious! The listing says there is no parking, but there was plenty so I don't know why it says that.
