Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PortugalNo snacks and food during the day. A price for 1 simple supermarket cheese and salami plate , charged 15 eur per each 👀seemed to much overpriced for the whole context, yet that was the only issue, all the rest is wonderful
Very beautiful mansion with own winery and garden. Beautiful view from the rooms. Nice Prosecco as a welcome , very clean and cozy. Perfect for quiet week end. Aleksandra at the the reception gave a perfect recommendation for the restaurant for dinner. Very friendly staff.

SwitzerlandThere were two things we did not like: 1) the bathroom in our room was far too small even for me (a tiny woman), in such a small space the shower doors should not open to the outside; and 2) from what we could see on Booking, the spa access should be included in the room (the hotel confirms this in “frequently asked questions”, in the description of the facilities the pool and spa do not have “additional charge”. However, we were informed this was not the case - if we wanted to use the spa, we had to pay an additional charge. It was not a big deal to us, but it would be best if the hotel changed the advertising.
The hotel is newly renovated, very clean and has an amazing, well-kept garden. This was a short one-night stay for us and the hotel was perfect. The location is also great - there are many wineries and beautiful hills all around. Plus Venice is just 50 minutes away by car. The hotel gives you gift bags with waters and cookies upon departure - a very nice touch.

The villa is beautiful! The surroundings are breathtaking. Breakfast is small but very tasty. The spa is really nice and private. The Tino restaurant is just wow! So tasty! Staff is always there to help! We will return again 😊

United Kingdom1 member of staff at reception, waited at least 20 minutes to check in, not good enough for this standard of hotel. They need more staff! Don't bother going to the restaurant overpriced and food wasn't great. Wine tours are overpriced but we still did 4 and they were all great just abit pricey, also taxis are shockingly expensive.
Stunning hotel, stunning location! We'll definitely go back! Highly recommended. Highly recommend going on wine tours/tastings, such a beautiful region with lots of delicious prosecco 🥂

United States of AmericaChecked in on Monday and the restaurant was closed and it is not near any restaurants for walking. Highly recommend you have a car for this location. We spent 50EU for a car to the only place open in town a pizzeria.
The breakfast and staff and property were beautiful. Also, found a lovely walk along the river.

EstoniaWe booked a Deluxe room via Booking.com on the day of our arrival, which was non-refundable, and then we got a call from the hotel informing us that since we have booked one of the last rooms, then our room will be with a bathroom for handicap people. This types of rooms are absolutely needed in each hotel, but as a customer I would like to be informed in advance and to make a knowledgeable decision during the booking, not being informed on the fact after the booking. This meant that we had to accept certain inconveniences: shower with curtain instead of a proper door, which was not possible to even close properly (done in a rush? As the whole setup looks strange), the bathroom floor flooded with water after the showering; the mirror due to its’ placement corner was displaying my stomach instead of my face etc. My request is that the hotel actually publishes these rooms as “Deluxe rooms suitable for handicap people” and have pictures of the actual bathrooms there. Otherwise the reality does not correspond to the photos on Booking.com and sets wrong expectations. Also the pictures of the room promote nice views from the window, unfortunately our view was not so nice - towards the backyard with the container-refridgerator and restaurant parking, in addition to not too good visual view it was also generating the constant noise therefore keeping the windows open was not an option at all. The room has an aircondition and the windows are well soundproof, so we managed, but this was definitely not according to the luxury expectations. The hotel has a SPA, but it is extra even for the hotel guests (30EUR per person for 45minutes of private use) and needs pre-booking.
The villa is absolutely beautiful and nicely decorated, the rooms are stylish, the bed is very comfortable as it should be in the SLH hotel. The windows are well soundproof. The breakfast have a good selection of salty/sweet/cold/hot options, some options are offered for extra charge (eggs benedict, omlet with add-ons etc). The hotel has a nice pool area and the territory is well kept. The complementary bottle of prosecco is served upon arrival in the room.

United KingdomThe restaurant that is is the same grounds as the hotel was so disapointing especially as we had booked it as a birthday treat, we arrived 10mins early 7:50pm for a booking at 8pm to find we were only the 2nd table on a Saturday night. We were seated & then waited over half an hour before we were asked what we would like to drink .... meanwhile the waitress had been fussing over other guests sat on a sofa near the entrance who arrived after we were seated..... we watched while they were given drinks and food and we were just left wondering when someone would come back. The rest of the evening didn't get much better, slow service and less than average food. We mentioned it to the hotel but they just said they would pass on my comments. There are an amazing amount of great restaurants in the area with great service & food, we picked the wrong one!
Lovely hotel and welcome on arrival, everything explained & a lovely touch they they noticed it was my birthday from my passport & we were offered a complimentary drink Room was a good size, nice decor & the bathroom had a huge walk in shower & all the amenities you would expect Pool was great & the staff very attentive with towels & drinks, also a good selection of food available to order We opted out of the buffet breakfast but ordered eggs & coffee instead (sometimes there is only so much ham / salami & cheese you can eat!) Wi-Fi is good & you get a private connection in your room as well as the general hotel one Plenty of parking available

The welcome we received was warm and efficient - we were meeting friends and as our rooms were not yet ready for us, we had a lunch and a glass of Prosecco. Breakfast and lunch could be inside or outside in a little courtyard, the more fine dining option Tino's is located in an other building. The pool was a good size though not deep and drinks and snacks can be ordered, I liked the complimentary crisps! Water in the room was a lovely gesture.

Slovenia... I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding the subpar service my party and I experienced at your restaurant. Unfortunately, our visit was marred by numerous issues that significantly impacted our dining experience. To begin with, upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by an older lady who seemed to greet us with disdain. Despite there being available tables on the terrace, she seated us indoors without any explanation. This initial interaction set a negative tone for the rest of the evening. Furthermore, our dissatisfaction continued when it came to the wine service. The wine we ordered was served cold, which is highly inappropriate for a white wine. Additionally, the staff provided no suggestions or recommendations, leaving us feeling neglected and uninformed. We expected a level of professionalism and expertise when it came to the wine selection, which was sorely lacking. Equally disappointing was the attitude displayed by the aforementioned elderly waitress throughout our meal. She appeared disinterested and was unresponsive to our requests. Not only did she lack basic etiquette, but she also seemed unwilling to accommodate our preferences. It was clear that she had no intention of providing a pleasant dining experience. Furthermore, it was disheartening that the staff members seemed to operate like robots, lacking genuine warmth and engagement. The impersonal nature of their service made us feel like mere numbers, rather than valued customers seeking a memorable dining experience. Finally, as the evening drew to a close, we were promised a digestive to conclude our meal. However, it never arrived, and the wait became so long that we ultimately decided to leave and retire for the night.
I wanted to take a moment to express my utmost satisfaction and appreciation for the exceptional experience my companions and I had during our recent stay at your hotel. The level of service and the overall quality of our visit were truly remarkable. From the moment we arrived, even though it was late, the young receptionist warmly welcomed us with genuine politeness and attentiveness. The check-in process was swift and efficient, allowing us to quickly settle into our rooms without any inconvenience. Speaking of the rooms, they were nothing short of amazing. The spaciousness, the incredible bed, and the exquisite decor all contributed to an unforgettable stay. The attention to detail, especially in the bathroom amenities, left us in awe. The luxurious cosmetics provided were a true indulgence and added a touch of opulence to our experience. Not only were the rooms exceptional, but the building itself was a sight to behold. The old Victorian-style small castle exuded charm and elegance, creating a unique and enchanting atmosphere. The surrounding grounds, including the swimming pool and the stunning garden, were impeccably maintained and provided a tranquil and picturesque setting. It was evident that cleanliness was a top priority throughout the hotel. Every corner we explored was spotless, which made us feel comfortable and invited. The rose decorations, combined with the cozy fireplace in the lobby, added an extra touch of romance and warmth to the overall ambiance. Additionally, we were captivated by the breakfast terrace. The beautiful setting allowed us to start our days in the most delightful manner, surrounded by natural beauty and enjoying a delicious meal. The attention to detail in creating such a picturesque space was truly commendable. Restaurant food was amazing but...
