Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaThe AC was smelling and the room was also just enough to fit a bed.
The host was super nice. There are snacks and food available throughout the day to eat for free. The AC is fine too. The location is a bit far from centre but is reachable by public transport.

MexicoThe cleaning could be a little bit better. When we arrived the room smelled too strongly of cigarette and there was an empty bottle which didn’t belong to us. Also, the shower could use some deep cleaning (it is a box type of shower). The bed was not super comfortable. We were given keys to go in and out. However, there were quite a few keys and they were not clearly marked, so each time we needed to use them we spent some time checking all the different keys.
The owner is super nice, he personally serves you breakfast and makes sure you have everything you need. For the price, you get decent accommodations near the metro station.

FranceThe bathroom of the room was very small and not very modern. We expected something better from the room according to the photos we saw but in the end except the bathroom it was good.
Flavio was very welcoming and we enjoyed having friendly conversations with him. The coffees he prepared us were very tasty! The bed was comfortable and the AC was a very good + during our (warm) stay.

The host is very nice and do his best to communicate even he barely speaks English. The kitchen and common area have everything we need to make a decent dinner.

United KingdomIt was a distance from the centre so a lot of walking but it was quieter so it balanced out.
The host was very helpful and friendly and used his phone to talk to us. It isn't posh but it suited us. We had an Italian breakfast with Flavio's wonderful cappuccinos and also used the kitchen in the evening. Thank you Flavio

BulgariaWe shared a bathroom with another room and sometimes inconvenient, but we didn't stay much in the room, so not a big problem.
The host is great. He makes the best capuchino in Rome. The room was spacious and warm. A lot of towels and hot water. Good breakfast with tost, croassant, butter, jam and yogurt. Good kitchen facilities and cutlery. Big back yard for warmer days. Comfortable beds and warm douvet cover. Changed the towels and bed linen on th third day of our 6 day staying. Close to metro and the centre. A lot of supermarkes near by and Carefour is 24/7 open. Good cafés close.

GermanyFlavio is a great host. We had a wonderful stay with him. The room was very nice and clean. The apartment is located just a little outside of the city so you can take a break and relax away from the buzzing center but still reach it easily in a few minutes with the metro.

SloveniaNone. Everything was as expected to be.
This place is owned by a lovely Sicilian man, with a very kind heart. There is a little language barrier, but it is no problem with voice message translation. We were provided with blankets, sheets and towels. There was even rich and fulfilling breakfast, with little boxes of juice to take with us. Rooms were very clean and we had a lot of privacy. Regarding the location, it is a little bit of walk away from Metro station, however this neighbourhood has been our favourite in the whole Rome. Definitely recommend being here for a night.

RomaniaThe shower in the hallway bathroom is small so if you are a bigger person maybe try one of the rooms with their own bath .
It has a home feel . Is not luxury but comfortable. You have a kitchen. There are 4 rooms and 2 share the hallway bathroom so is not crowded . If you are an independent traveler who wants a relaxing place with a garden then is a good choice. There is breakfast of croissant, butter , bread , tea , coffee , yogurt, jam, milk, cereal . No meat , cheese or eggs , nothing salty . The food stays in the kitchen so if you want some of it later you can. The location is not near any tourist attraction but is near busses , metro , some restaurants and stores so you can reach any place you need to go . Staff is very nice.

The price was very good for the area that is close to the center (2 metro changes or with the bus directly to Coloseum) It also have a small yard so you can enjoy the silent and fresh air.
