Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaBreakfast was fabulous the first day and very mediocre the second. Strong language barrier when communicating with some staff. The bathtub was too tiny to get into! Very thankful for the onsen.
Although tiny, the room was well equipped and space was very well utilized. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was pleasant and the location was excellent. Loved the onsen!

CanadaDue to exceptional value, these hotels tend to be very popular. Thankfully, there are a ton of them. However, this also means that there is very little that can be done in terms of quality of hotel guests. Most of them are great, but all it takes is for one (or two) guests to ruin or dirty the facilities for everyone. This is not the fault of the hotel, or the other guests, but well... it's unfortunate.
Staff and facilities are, as always, wonderful. APA hotels tend to be well-located, and value for money is exceptional for very good quality solo-traveller stays.

United KingdomWhilst walkable to the Dontonbori, I would not say it was close.
Very good APA, staff are helpful and friendly. Onsen in the hotel is great, very big. Room was very clean, and bed comfortable. They also had under bed storage which was very useful. Lots of good restaurants nearby.

GermanyNothing to complain to be honest, everything was fine.
Everything was great, the rooms are smaller than in europe or in north america but this is just a typically thing in asia, you have to have that in your mind. Like almost everything is smaller there, so the rooms are. For me it was good, because I also dont spend much time in hotel. I can also recommend the cafe which right next to the reception very good! (only tried to breakfast menu)

PhilippinesNo aircon and only heater was set in our room even if reported twice. We need to open the window during our stay for cold temp. They should clean up the washing machines.
Food in the resto is good, many good options. Luggage storage after checkout is cool too. We extended our stay for 1 more night.

PhilippinesNo aircon, only heater in the room. We need to open the windows just to get the cold we need for our son. Not everyday they will clean your room. There’s another branch which almost has the same name - the driver insist on the wrong hotel. He drop us off right away even if it’s raining that time. So we need to walk to get to the right hotel. Not a good experience.
There’s a public bath, there’s a conbini within the hotel and surrounded by conbinis, also there’s a train station very accessible from the hotel elevator.

Czech RepublicEveryday we received new towels but there would be some missing, in the set and the amenities would not be included every day (bath / body towel / Q-tips / etc.) which we have received at other APA locations. The onsen is rather small compared to other locations.
The location was excellent - the hotel itself was one of the Exits directly connected to the subway. The staff has helped us with luggage delivery to our next destination. The public spa (onsen) was kept clean and nice.

RussiaAbsolutely horrendous elevator situation, it’s nigh impossible to get from the 3rd to the 2nd floor during breakfast time, because every single elevator that stops at your floor during that time is always full to the brim. This wouldn’t be an issue if there were guest-accessible stairs, but there aren’t any.
Everything is very clean and comfortable, very nice location (three metro lines accessible pretty much directly out of the front door)

AustraliaWhile my recent stay at APA Hotel & Resort Midosuji Hommachi Eki Tower had its positive aspects, there were some drawbacks that detracted from the overall experience. The most notable issue was the size of the rooms. Unfortunately, they were significantly smaller than expected, making it challenging to move around comfortably, especially with luggage. The limited space made it feel cramped and somewhat claustrophobic, detracting from the overall comfort of the stay. For travelers accustomed to more spacious accommodations, this could be a significant downside. Despite these shortcomings, it's worth noting that the hotel's location remains its strongest selling point. Situated in the heart of Osaka, it offers easy access to the city's attractions and amenities, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.
My recent stay at APA Hotel & Resort Midosuji Hommachi Eki Tower left me thoroughly impressed, thanks to several standout features that made my experience memorable. First and foremost, the hotel's location is simply unbeatable. Situated in the heart of Osaka, it offers easy access to major attractions, dining venues, and shopping districts. Whether I was strolling along Midosuji Avenue or hopping on the subway to explore further afield, I appreciated the convenience of being centrally located. One of the highlights of my stay was undoubtedly the buffet breakfast offered at the hotel. Each morning, I was greeted by a tantalizing array of dishes, ranging from traditional Japanese fare to Western favorites. The quality and variety of options ensured that there was something to suit every palate, setting a deliciously satisfying tone for the day ahead. Additionally, I found the hotel's hot bath area to be a blissful oasis of relaxation. After a long day of exploring Osaka's bustling streets, sinking into the soothing waters of the hot bath was the perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate. The tranquil ambiance and serene surroundings provided a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the city.

IsraelThe staff, waiting a long time for the elevator
The fact that the metro station is practically at the hotel is amazing! Other than the room is ok but tiny! The onsen in the hitel is very basic (no cold water pool) but as it is in the hotel made it so convenient that i used it twice a day. Never used my the shower in my room 🤣. The yukata provided by the hotel was the best one i wore 🤍. The staff was difficult ....to say the leasy ...

Australia40 min early and staff would not check us in. Wanted to charge for 40 min early. Tiny, small rooms. Not suitable for more than 1 large suitcase. Rooms were so small for a family it was not enjoyable. We booked 2 rooms but could not be together in room one as it is very small. Hotel doesn’t provide umbrellas if raining. Not a happening or central location, need to walk or take the train to places. Would stay in Namba, more lively.

SwitzerlandThe bathroom was really tiny. You did not have freedom to move. Amenities were a little bit hard to find sometimes in the room. The elevators weren't that good. You had to wait long times and sometimes it just deleted the selected floor you were going to. That's why i sometimes arrived on a floor with other guests that wanted to go to the opposite direction. Which was a litte bit annoying.
It was my first time staying in a hotel of the APA-Chain. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Hotel has a convenient location with a integrated exit from the subway and an convenience Store in the building. Next to the hotel is also a big Seven-Eleven. The hotel also has an café and a restaurant. But i didn't try those. Check-in was pretty fast and uncomplicated. Especially the staff was very friendly and helpful if you had questions. Also always greeting you when you were going out or coming back. If you are early you can store you luggage there with an qr-code which was very practical. The room was pretty tiny but this has to be expected in japan. The bed was pretty comfortable for one person and i had a great view. Don't forget to turn your refrigerator on. On and off button was right above. Bathroom was tiny but had alot of amenities with pretty good quality. The bathtub was also bigger than in other places. The TV had a lot of useful information about the hotel and generally about japan. It was also pretty easy to use and navigate. The hotel also featured a pool and an onsen. The pool though was not open when i stayed there but looked promising. Onsen was very good. You could also see the if the onsen was fully occupied on the tv to avoid many people. The hotel also offered two kimonos which you could use in the room or in the hotel. The room was also clean and you can open your window. For this price you get many amazing things and activities to do.

AustraliaRoom is somewhat small but that is to be expected in Japan. Not a big deal but your room must be cleaned every 3 days so you need to pack your stuff up to allow staff to clean (if you don’t elect to have it cleaned yourself)
Decent location, just out from the big red light area. Clean building. Has a 24hr family mart on level 2 which was convenient. Train station entrance is right next to hotel.
