Parking is a big issue there if you have a car rental. There is paid parking down the road but unfortunately we found out the hard way that the car park closes at midnight and does not open until 8am. An inconvenience if planning on getting up early.

Good location with sea view balcony. Hosts were exceptional and very helpful throughout our stay.

The kitchen was very tiny. Overall it was a nice place not too big for a family but for me and my 6 year old son it was big enough!

I love the view on the ocean! The best area in Funchal San Martinho area! Close to the beach and the downtown!

Lack of wine glasses, limited items to cook in appartment (eg. no oven), appartment is on east side so after 11h00 it’s just cold on the balcony as you don’t have sun- but remember we were in January :)

Street parking as there is just few places by the hotel, but mostly used by residents. In case you come later it is full, you can park in the paid parking house nearby or far away on a street then.

Noisy fridge. Leaky bathroom sink trap when plug is pulled. Small hot water tank which runs out of hot water whilst showering.

The location is amazing. It is a nice, comfy apartment with a lot of features, such iron and a hair dryer among other things. Hugo was a very helpful and kind host, he was there to provide assistance with everything and we thankful for that

Facilities are well-used and outdated, very low water pressure, no English instructions on how to use the washing machine and probably it was faulty, Only one key was supplied and no information on how to gain access if you get locked out.

Location is wonderful! Bus stop, supermarket, promenade, rent-a-car service are very close to appartment. There is free of charge beach in 15 minutes walk from appartment. Nice view from window! Wonderful sunrises every morning 🤩🤩🤩

Unfortunately apart from the convenience of location, the apartment/building is very dated and dirty. Very run down and needs immediate updating. Building not well maintained and security breach as access reader into level 1 (car park side) is damaged and not replaced so anyone can walk in. Building/room condition - very dated and old. Lights in corridor leading to flat have burnt out but not replaced. Condition of room is very dated (very 70s). Sliding door very flimsy and because located near ocean, very windy hence the noise of door rattling against the frame at night. Sliding door not double glazed and doubt they were ever replaced. Windows in same condition. Can be very noisy in the morning due to windows and sliding doors not being double glazed. There's no curtains but just thin layer of liners so when sun rises very early in the morning, the room lights up completely and very difficult to rest properly. Toilet is ok. There's a huge crack under the toilet seat and there's signs of water ingress in the ceiling (bubbling of plaster) right above bathtub. There's bit of mould. Hot plate not working. Landlord mentioned upon check in it is due to be replaced. But, upon checking reviews, this has been going on for awhile and still no replacement. Fridge not maintained, huge ice crystals (picture) Cleanliness - very dusty corridors and room. Not sure if room was dusted and cleaned before we moved in but I assumed it was cleaned after the previous guest(s) moved out and never touched again? Floor was very dusty upon check in, hanging light above dining table also very dusty and greasy (refer to picture with wet wipes). The bed sheets so dusty we could not breathe properly at night due to dust, itched throughout the night. Had to deep clean flat on our own. Mopped floor 3 times and wash sheets. Washing machine took forever to complete (4 hours) cycle (due to old age). Pretty sure needs replacing.

Location was great and facing the ocean. Very central as well, close to shops, restaurants and public pool.
