“The position of the homestay was outstanding, at the entrance to the Nat.Park. The accommodation is simple air conditioned and clean with a terrace looking over the gardens . Our room only had a cold water shower , but welcomed after a steamy jungle walk th see the amazing Black Macques. The food in the communal open dining area was tasty and adequate . The staff were so friendly and welcoming.”
“Full ten points for accommodation. Frangky and his family was friendly and organized nice trips for me. The food was insanely good. Nothing negative to comment. I will definitely come again!”
“Brightly decorated large comfy room w great hot shower. Good Indonesian set breakfast including Bubur Manada w sambal. Well located for great local restaurants (especially good fish at Bakar Rica for great price!) and 20 min walk to main shopping mall. Staff excellent- very good English - very helpful - arranged car & driver day trip into hills.”
“Helmi and Yoke were wonderful, welcoming hosts who showed great care for their guests. Nothing was too much trouble, dive trip, transfers and oddball requests dealt with efficiently and with grace. The food was simply amazing. Great use of local resources to produce a local cuisine that was second to none on the island. Whilst largely fish or chicken based, every meal was different, and delicious. Fresh tastes, plenty of vegetables, cold beer and warm smiles. We had only booked one night, planning to extend but unfortunately we had to move as our room was already booked. No problems, Helmi and Yoke were only too happy to have us as casual diners, which ended up to be every evening meal for the remaining week we were on the Island.
The rooms are quite spartan, air conditioning is coming, but everything is clean and well presented.”
“The food and hospitality was great.
Riko and Vanda were very kind and patient and provide all sorts of services and information about tomahon.
Would recommend for solo and couple travellers.”
“Front desk staff and housekeeping were all very nice. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. A/C worked well. Room was clean. Laundry and a mart right next door.”
“A couple of fellow travellers recommended Tangkoko Sancturary Villa for its amazing food, and we were not disappointed!!
Linda (Anna), the owner, went out of her ways to satisfy our taste buds - sent guys to town to buy fruits we love and made the dishes we requested for our last dinner.... Deanna was always cheerful and helpful. She paid specific attention to individual guests' preferences. Together with other staff, they worked very hard to make the place a true sanctuary for their guests.
Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. AC worked well and was essential. The wildlife tour was a great experience. Sakar, the guide, tried very hard to spot the animals. The mangrove/snorkelling trip was ok.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and highly recommend it!!
(A&A, if you are reading this, thanks again for the recommendation!)”
“The guided tours both evening and morning with Frankie were fantastic!! He goes all out and will not give up until you have seen the animal you're looking for and have taken a picture of it (if that's what you want!).
The location is perfect right next to the national park entrance, people super friendly and willing to help out with food, etc. Definitely recommend for your stay in Tangkoko!”
