Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanThere is no hot water in the shower. But strangely, hot water comes out of the faucet at the washbasin. There is a large tree in front of room 103 that blocks the ocean view. During the day, many people from outside the hotel gather in the shade of the tree.
Location is great. The rooms are in individual lodges, ensuring privacy. Breakfast is buffet style with a wide variety of choices, and the menu changes daily.

United KingdomThe Resort - was a bit tired, and there's a certain charm in that. But it could do with a little bit of love on the rough edges. Breakfast was mediocre and we probably wouldn't pay nearly £10 per day for the 2 of us if we went back, but it was okay and convenient. We'd definitely go back though, just don't expect high end luxury (apart from our beach shack which was amazing!) The Beach - Our biggest gripe is the rubbish on the beach! And not just litter, in the first 24 hours I picked up 6 chunks of glass, literally half beer bottles just sticking up out of the sand. Please wear beach shoes all the time, no bare feet. The plastic bottles and bags etc is everywhere, some resorts clear what they can but then the public area is like a rubbish tip - Lamai you are going to have to sort this. It's one of the reasons we wouldn't dash back to Lamai. It's a shame because swimming in the sea was lovely, but the rubbish - no.
We paid extra for a beach bungalow and it was totally worth it. Sitting on the deck looking at the ocean or opening the curtains and the view from your bed, amazing! Lots of space and 2 bottles of complimentary water in the fridge each day. We only went in the pool once but it was clean and slightly cooler than the sea. The resort is clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. There's a great beach shack to the left on the beach, we ate lunch there every day and wished we'd done breakfast too, the resort were keen for us to sign up to breakfast as soon as we arrived. On the whole the resort was fine for a smallish, mid-range resort and we enjoyed the low-key vibe for the first few days of the holiday. Lamai is an easy 5 minute walk away and has everything you're looking for. We loved the chilled vibe in the night market bars and restaurants, live music and great (cheap) food. But the cocktail bars are cheap too and give a more luxe feel. The 'Sexy Sexy Bar' open air with 'girls' dancing for your enjoyment was a lot more tacky but it's horses for courses. We had a good massage and Annie's cafe is an upmarket haven for anyone missing great coffee & brunch options. We stayed 4 nights and it was enough for us but lots to like.

AustraliaFelt some areas needed an upgrade. Painted areas around resort, were chipping including sun lounges, pool bar and cabins. Bathroom in cabin is just huge but very old tiles and colours. Sign on the beach is rusty and got more damaged in storm. Did NOT like guests smoking by the pool. 🤮🤢
Location was fantastic!! Good amount of shade around pool and beach area. Nice breakfast buffet, lovely croissants and pastries. Super cute cabins -we got a deluxe one, it was very large and nicely decorated. Huge bathroom! beautiful grounds. Staff lovely 😍 . Changed pool towels twice a day ✔️

United KingdomLitter on the beach, which is typical of Thailand, unfortunately, especially when the weather is windy (but this is no fault of the hotel who tidy their area of the beach as much as possible).
We stayed for 8 nights. The staff are all lovely, efficient, friendly, and helpful. The pool was clean and warm. Our room, next to the pool and with a sea view, was a good size and always kept really clean and tidy. The bed was large and comfortable. AirCon was efficient. Breakfast was good, with fresh fruit and juices, plus eggs cooked to order, eaten on the terrace restaurant with sea views. The hotel is small but not crowded, always enough sun beds or bean bags. In a great position for the beach, with a short walk to beach bars, or a short walk to Lamai Town for a good choice of restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the hotel cocktail party and bbq beach dining. The hotel staff keep their area of beach as clean as they can. The hotel has a nice relaxed family atmosphere and is quiet after 10 pm. We met many guests who come back to this hotel year after year, and we can see why.

United KingdomThe large bedroom could easily accommodate a comfortable seating area like a sofa, just a touch that would elevate spending time in the room itself. I stayed in a Garden View room, though in reality it’s just a pathway with bamboo grown at the edge of the creek, so you can’t really hang out in it. The bamboo can make the room quite dark but I enjoyed the cosy atmosphere. Did have a daily patrol of monitor lizard which was very exciting! The aircon is very effective but noisy, as is the fridge, so earplugs are a good idea for sensitive sleepers.
The rooms was very big, as was the bed and the bathrooms. Having a jacuzzi bath was a real treat, perfect to lay in during a tropical storm whilst the rain fell through the bamboo leaves outside the window. Plenty of storage for clothes and luggage in the room. The curtains were thick and kept the room very dark at night. The pool was very nice, deceptively big and very clean. The access to the beach is easy, very nice to be able to walk 30 paces from the room onto the sand. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. The massages available were great, at a hut on the beach, it’s something else to have yourself being pretzled and pummeled whilst the waves are crashing in your ears! (Other, gentler massages are available too!) The location is very good, very close to the eateries and shops and the night market. Felt very safe walking around at night.

ThailandEverything was great except the room needing a little bit more TLC. Some paint was peeling and one door was difficult to shut but it didn't stop us having a fantastic time. A huge storm the first night we stayed didn't help with this but staff were very proactive in cleaning and tidying the resort and beach.
The resort was so well placed on the beach. We had a pool villa and it was great to walk from the room to the pool and then down the steps to the sea. Very comfortable bed and a clean and tidy room.

AustraliaAs my bungalow was near the pool and main area there was a lot of light shining in my room all night so I had to wear my eye mask.
I loved the little bungalow I had with a verandah on the front. The pool was also lovely, right on the ocean front so you could swim in either the pool or ocean without having to walk far from your chair at the poolside. The beach was also nice and clean and the ocean nice and flat with no big waves which is what I like. The location was fine for me, the night markets close by and plenty of restaurants you can walk to. It is best to walk up the beach a little and go over the little bridge nearby to walk to everything. Don't walk up the resort main driveway because that is the long way around to everything. Also, Ying who worked on front reception was marvellous, always so helpful. I would love to return one day.
