No parking, but could find street parking nearby. Small room, a lot in terms of cost for a very small private room. We were kicked off of the pool table early so if you are in at night you are limited as to what you can do around the hostel. Couldn’t buy food from the in shop as it was closed even though it stated it was open late night. No tv in private room- to be expected.

Great location in really nice neighbourhood. Staff were nice, main lobby and shared facilities were clean and modern. Pool table. Felt safe.

No possibility to open the window so the air became stuffy, no ac either just a ceiling fan.

They charged a "resort fee" even though it's a hostel. I didn't get anything out of it, The hostel still very economical, even with the fee.

The hostel is very spacious and clean. Common area had a lot of sitting area and the rooms were not stuffed with beds. It may be because the hostel wasn't that busy when I was there. Maybe someone going during the high season will have a better assessment. Also great location! just a few minutes walk to restaurants and stores in lincoln park. The L station is only a 10 min walk to reach the rest of Chicago Lastly you can find free street parking nearby (if you park the car there during the day and leave it). Ask the staff for more info.

No TV in a room ,no bottle of water in fridge, have to pay for parking spot behind the hostel and and in a shower should have a shelves or niche for soap and shampoo.

Bed! Very noisy and uncomfortable. Breakfast, only sweet, fruit ran out on the first day and was not restocked our whole stay (3 nights).

Amazing staff, very nice neighbourhood. The shared bathrooms were in surprisingly good shape and clean.

Squishy old mattress, small cramped room, had to wait in line for toilets because they close some for cleaning as everyone is finishing breakfast and coffee, mediocre breakfast without enough seating or dishes. Just generally a not great value for the money

The staff is excellent (Joaquin was very professional and very attentive all the time). The Neiborhood is excellent and beautiful.

Kitchen to be used, fridges, freezer available for all. When the temperature dropped down, I received a small radiator and another blankiet. All is clean, shared bathroom is enough and clean. People at the reception are very nice and helpful. Great communication, close to bus and trains. Free laundry.

Very poor breakfast. The view wasn't good at all. Lights are very weak. Shower has very low water pressure.

No AC in the rooms so they got a bit warm at night and the bathroom always had this bad stench, but not horrible.

The building and facilities were clean and modern. The location is great; safe and located near the red line.

Cons (not really, but I didn't have anymore space): - the hotel is very big and there were only one women bathroom and one men bathroom on each floor, so you can be very far from yours. Bathrooms were different on each floor so if you don't like yours, you can try another one. On the second floor, women bathroom had 4 WC and 4 showers - 2 were private with a double door, so you can close with locker the first door and then enter the shower. On the first floor, it was just showers with curtains. I never had issues but I wonder how it goes when the hostal is full. - there is no private WC so if this is important to you, take the option of shared shower but private WC in the room. (half bathroom)

We stayed 4 nights as a couple and chose the private room with shared bathroom. Pros: - bed was comfortable, I didn't like the upper bed but I understand it can be useful if you don't want to share the bed with the other person. - very good public transportation around: 2 buses at 4 min walking, and the metro at 10-15 min walking. Only 15 min from Lincoln Zook park area. The neighorbhood was very quiet and beautiful. We felt totally safe walking around. - kitchen! when I booked, it said kitchen was open only from 7am to 8pm but it was from 7am to 12am, with no use of the stove after 9pm but still access to our stuff, microwave, toaster, hot water. I am a tea drinker and always travel with a water heater but it was not necessary as there was always access to hot water - just be sure to bring your own tea bag. - common areas were well maintained and it was nice to be able to rest in a sofa after a long day of tourism. Of course, "quietness" will depend if there are many people during the stay or not. - staff was super kind and very present. I didn't need their help in particular but I felt it was a nice place for young travelers or people without experience. I really had the feeling that if something bad happened, they would have helped. - not only for 20yo travelers. I was a bit afraid as i am not a party girl, but the public was really a bit of every age and I appreciated it (once again, it depends of course but it is my experience). I could see people our age, young students, elders traveling, and also people who came to Chicago for a baseball game and didn't want to spend too much in a hotel. I loved the mix.
