I didn't like how dirty the pool looked. The coffee was not very good.

I liked the location. The back patio and the pool face the lake. The room and hotel in general were very clean. The breakfast was very good and the seating area was spacious. The staff were very helpful.

Upon checking in & paying a deposit, we were alerted via a letter taped to the elevators that the televisions were inoperable. This kind of dampened our spirits.

The breakfast every morning was awesome. There was no issues with checking in a few hours early. They were very accommodating. The staff was very inviting and friendly.

The pool and pool area was dirty. I know they recently had a tornado but the pool was dirty and the chairs near the pool smelled like mildew .

For my stay there, their internet connection broke. It made it very difficult to have something to do and relax. It was out for about 12 hours. I let the front desk know multiple times that this was not ok and I wasn’t happy with them, and each time they just apologized and said they’d get it fixed soon. After a few hours I was very angry and when I went and spoke to one of the staff, he apologized but then gave me another internet connection. I was excited to get some internet but I wasn’t happy with the fact that they kept it away from us for this long. It was very sneaky of them. Mind you, the service on your phone was also very bad because of the location. So even when I was using my own data I couldn’t even send text messages! It was also raining the whole day so my family was pretty much stranded in our hotel room, with no internet at all and no service on our phones. With a little child it got very boring and having to deal with that was very inconvenient that I was willing to go to another hotel before we received their personal internet that they were hiding from us.

The area it was at was very nice and our hotel room faced the lake so that was very nice. The room was great as well. And taking a shower was very nice as well and comfortable. It felt like we had lots of privacy and the staff didn’t bother us at all! We were also able to get lots of turtle food for free and go out to the lake and feed the turtles as well as the geese. I will admit that was extremely fun to do especially with a 2 year old. Their pool area was very nice as well. The day we went to swim in it, it was very sunny. I didn’t want to swim and wasn’t happy about staying in the sun the whole time. But while my family was in the pool, I noticed they had umbrellas that you could easily unravel! That made my stay at the pool so much nicer. I got to stay under the shade and watch my family swim. Their breakfast was also pleasant. They had a pretty wide range of food. The three days we ate breakfast, I never got bored of it. They did also have juice and coffee. It was an overall great stay!

The lake view and the outside terrace are gorgeous. We couldn't enjoy much because of the rain, but we took some beautiful pictures once the rain did stop.

There was a bit of deferred maintenance observable (older flooring, chipped paint here and there, etc.) The toilet in my room was not “comfort height” and there was no grab bar outside the tub. Older patrons should ask for more accessible rooms if low toilets are an issue. Also, I was expecting the on-site restaurant/bar to be available. However, it was closed for the duration of my stay, and it may not have a current tenant.

Lovely location with great views if one paid the $20/night premium for a lake view room with a balcony, which is well worth the price. There are level, accessible boardwalks along the lakeshore, a reasonable sized pool, and ample outdoor seating to relax with your morning coffee. The property was clean, the staff very professional and friendly, basic motel complimentary breakfast.
