Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaMy best friend and I met up in Morro Bay, a perfect midway point between Northern and Southern California, for a girls' weekend getaway. Neither of us had explored the area before, but our stay at the Beach Bungalow Inn and Suites surpassed our expectations. Conveniently situated in the heart of town, the inn offered easy access to charming dining spots, bars, and shops. The inn also provided a great starting point for exploring nearby hiking trails, which were just a short drive away. Our room was spacious, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Each morning, we got to pick between savory and sweet breakfast options by filling out a form. We went for savory both days and loved every bite of the tasty food. Overall, our experience at the Beach Bungalow Inn and Suites was outstanding. With its unbeatable location, cozy accommodations, and breakfast offerings, it easily earns a perfect 10/10 rating from us. Should our travels lead us back to Morro Bay in the future, we wouldn't hesitate to book another stay at this wonderful establishment.

United States of AmericaThis is a great location a very short walk from the shops and restaurants on Embarcadero. It is a cozy stay and had a bed and breakfast feel. Ms. Vicky was very friendly and nice. We stayed in room 9, El Morro. It had a kitchenette and 2 bathrooms. It was a great stay with added bonus of freshly made breakfast brought right to our door each morning.

United States of AmericaI have absolutely zero complaints about this magical little place.
What looks like a 60s beach hotel completely changes once you step inside into a beautifully maintained master suite (if you were in someone's home), with a working fireplace, hardwood floors, nice comfy and linens, a real coffee pot with jars of freshly ground coffee to put in your real mugs. The tv was an older flat screen but did its job well. I slept like a baby with the windows slightly open to get some fresh sea air, and through the windows, you have a nice view of Moro Rock. The fact that you are given a choice of what you want for breakfast off a small menu and it delivered to your door in the morning is more than expected and so beyond the typical hotel breakfast.

United States of AmericaThe only issue that we ran into was our key cards. When we initially received them, only one of each room's keys was working. We were informed that they demagnetized easily so we were cautious not to put them near phones or keys. We only left once, to go eat dinner, and placed the keys in our cup holder. When we returned, one of them wouldn't work leaving us unable to get in. I was able to call the phone number listed on the office door as it was late - and they were able to assist me in getting another key and back into the room. Luckily, the key worked for both rooms because soon after - the other key stopped working too. If you're a clean freak and you don't like stains on towels or bedding - this may bother you as we noticed that several of the wash clothes and or towels were stained with what looked like makeup and even the bedsheets on the King bed had a stain at the top. Everything did appear washed - just stained. It didn't bother us much considering the value of the price of both rooms. Also, if I had to nitpick - I'd say that the toilet paper holder in the Marble Room doesn't work. It continuously falls off.
We loved the aesthetic of the entire property! It is within walking distance to the main strip in Morro Bay and about a 3–5-minute drive to Morro Rock/beach. We traveled as a family of 7 - 2 adults and 5 kids. We reserved the King premium room (The Marble Room) and the deluxe family room (The Pacific Room). In total, we had 2 king beds and 1 queen, and they included a playpen which was perfect for our toddler. The breakfast service was top-notch. You choose between two options when you check in and also choose the time it is served to you. The food was pretty decent considering. I will say that the kids weren't a huge fan of the options that day (a bacon, spinach, and cheese omelet or overnight oats with fruit). We thoroughly enjoyed the deep tub and walk-in shower with several different features in the Marble Room. We loved how our rooms were right next to each other to be able to stay close as a family. The Pacific had 2 TVs and a jack-and-jill bathroom with a big vanity area. Plenty of space for multiple people to get ready. Both rooms had a ceiling fan, a beautiful working fireplace for heat, and a wall A/C which is amazing for a beach hotel. The staff was nice and accommodating and offered extra towels, blankets, and pillows on arrival for our large party. Overall, we love the place and will be back! P.s. I also loved the idea of the handwritten guest books in the rooms.

United States of AmericaWalls were a little thin. We had loud neighbors, although they quieted down by 10 pm.
The room was very clean, and the beds and pillows were quite comfortable. The breakfast options were appealing and it was convenient having them delivered to the room-- helped our family get moving in the morning and gave us more time to do fun stuff. Location was great-- easy walking access to downtown and the T-pier with the otter viewing. Staff were friendly and helpful.

United KingdomNothing! We would absolutely recommend
The beach bungalow inn and suites was the perfect place to stay in Morro Bay! We wished we were staying longer. The room was lovely and had everything we needed, the staff were really welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is delivered to your room at a timing of your choosing between 8-9.30am. The omelette was particularly nice! It was just a short walk down to the ocean, which was really convenient (as long as you don’t mind a steep walk back up) Thanks again to our lovely hosts
