Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesFront desk did not answer phone when I called 3 times to 2 different numbers with questions prior to arrival. Number listed on Booking.com is not functional number. Bathroom faucet handle was missing/broken. Lightbulb missing from bed lamp. TV remote had no guide for available channels. Breakfast was only frozen danish, coffee & juice, should be called "Continental" in hotel amenities description.

United StatesI was VERY DISAPPOINTED because the room type I reserved was not available at check in. I reserved the suite and was told someone was still in it and they were not checking out. I was put in a room with two beds but that's not the room type I reserved.
The breakfast was very minimal. Person at the front desk said "that's all there is". The location was conveniently located near the interstate.

United StatesWhen I arrived there were people chillin outside in the parking lot at their cars drinking. When I got in the check in all doors completely I waited 30 mins for the clerk so I end up ringing the bell he came but seemed he did not want to be there. Room was not that clean. The bathroom toilet set was broken didn’t realize until I was in the shower there were no towels at all in the bathroom and a dirty wash clothes from previous guest was on top of the shower rod

United StatesThe rude young dark-haired receptionist Saturday morning, the no food for the free breakfast which is included in your hotel stay the not lock doors at night time and the outdated snack machines. And what broke my heart was the cleaning lady had to clean 26 rooms all by herself because the reception on Saturday refused to get off her telephone and help. Absolutely disgusting of her.

United StatesHad my kids there and smelled weed everywhere including the hallways. Hair dryer didn’t work, remote for the tv didn’t work, the wall outlets didn’t want to hold and chargers, only 2 towels was in the bathroom and no wash clothes.
