Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesI hate to write a bad review but in the case of the Cambria in Detroit, I have to do it. The day before checkout I requested a late checkout (as I had some meetings to handle) which was granted. On checkout day I had not one but TWO people loudly knocking on my door asking “do you plan on checking out?” rudely as if I was some vagrant that was refusing to leave. Not only that they persisted after I let them know about the late check out. I felt as if I was being run out of the hotel despite the fact that my late checkout request was granted. This was a serious disruption in my meetings. I travel frequently for work but I normally stay at Marriott properties since I’m a Bonvoy member. I’ve NEVER had an issue like this at a Marriott, they always lead with professionalism and cater to their guests. I made a mistake deciding to try something new on my trip. But the Cambria looked gorgeous in their pictures (and real life!). They need to seriously step up their game if they plan on staying open. I did bring this to the attention of the front desk person and they refunded parking costs. But I still had to write this review, their prospective customers need to know. I do have to say though their valet service is 10/10.

United StatesWe had to sit for 20+ minutes to wait and be brought to our room since the card maker was not working. We were told that someone would bring our keycard to our room soon. We waited for about 2 hours before finally going down to see what was happening and they had our card behind the counter. Time wasted waiting for our key that could have been spent doing other things. We weren't given anything to compensate. I also have not recieved my $100 deposit back yet.

United StatesThe bathroom didn’t have an actual door. You can hear everything even when someone is trying to be quiet. The front desk team never talked about a restoration fee and it would have been better is explained if broken down as a refundable deposit for damages to the room. The gentlemen that checked us out what much for clear with it.

CanadaBed and pillows are very uncomfortable. Small thin pillows that do nothing, feels like your head is on the mattress, and mattress feels like you’re laying on the floor that you’ve thrown a comforter over to lay on.

United StatesThere was an issue with a light shortage in the room that disrupted my sleep; I called asking for support and was met with awkward tension by Michael, who noted that nothing could be done due to the hotel not having maintenance over the weekends. I also called to verify charges on Tuesday with Jo and was awkwardly dismissed in noticing that the charges were greater than the initial booking. Their attitudes were both pretty disheartening as hospitality should be the baseline in hotel customer service.
The decor is beautiful, it's Art Deco inspired and the hotel has only been in operation for two months, so I expected some rifts knowing that they were just getting started. It has so many areas of picturesque views and it really has a nice and thoughtful atmosphere. Furthermore, I really appreciated receiving the utmost customer service from Monti and a really nice person in the bar area who wore two blonde braids wrapped. I also appreciated the valet service workers, Edward and Tony. There was also a kind and friendly person who helped me take my bags down during checkout. They all did really well and exceeded the expectations of myself and a friend. Many of the staff members were friendly and greeted us every time, which was a nice touch to the atmosphere!

Canadathe staff were very disorganized i booked through priceline, they didn't have my confirmation they had to recreate a reservation they charged my credit card again for the room, but they are telling me that this amount is just an authorization i waited during checkout to confirm the staff member couldn't help me and finally the manager who was rude said that it was just a hold and would be released
