How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Service in restaurant was just terrible. Staff standing around, had to flag them down for everything from wiping down table to then bringing cutlery, ordering, getting check. They just stood around talking to other staff both mornings we ate there

I struggled to get decaf coffee in the morning. The free coffee fkr guests ess only caf. And i had to buy it, even though i my room came with free breakfast

The parking garage for the hotel was super cramped. We chose the parking deck across the street as an alternative.
It was in a nice location in relation to the other events we had planned.

The room which we were given and the amenities of the hotel did not match the description given by booking.com. We expected a room with a full kitchenette and also to have access to a business centre. None of these amenities were available at the hotel.We would have booked somewhere else if we knew of the abscence of these amenities, and we felt that we had paid for something we didn't get. The manageress was courteous and polite in discussing the issue but there was nothing she could do other than to say that she would follow up with Booking.Com to ensure that the descriptions would in the future provide an accurate reflection of the hotel. To be fair, she was most helpful when it came to printing out boarding passes for us, and we were grateful for this. While the manageress was very professional and gracious in her approach, the same cannot be said for the staff at the reception desk whom we found to be aloof and surly. The hotel is located right beside a construction site, and the room we had was looking straight out on to this, which was not great. The restaurant was understaffed. It seems inconsistent with the otherwise high standards of the hotel that the internal kitchen staff are also required to act as servers when the hotel is quiet.
Clean and classy hotel in a nice area of the city. The rooms are beautifully appointed, and there is a very stylish lobby with a nice cosy atmosphere. There is a good restaurant on site.Brunch on Saturday was very good.

There wasn't much within walking distance. The restaurant needs more help, they had one server, who was very nice, but there were not that many tables seated and it took 30 minutes to get a simple breakfast. The light switches in the room were a bit confusing too.
Most of the staff was friendly. The decor was nice. Shower was wonderful.

There wasn't a microwave in the room, so having to go downstairs for the microwave was an inconvenience and a little annoying.

We checked in Friday night around 9pm, my room still wasn’t ready but the girl at the front desk was very nice and told me they were sold out and had groups which I understand. There was a guy yelling at her causing a seen and she handled it so well. This hotel was beautiful and so clean, I would definitely come back here again.

During the night you hear noice from ice machine (cubes falling), in the hotel you can not pay with Europe credit cards or cash.

The restaurant is ok. There are a lot of restaurants in the area to compensate for
Fantastic Hotel. The staff is ok. Coffee is fantastic. The restaurant is alright. Room is extremely big, clean and have all the amenities anyone would need while traveling.
