My room had a some food crumbs - something like a cookie maybe? - on the floor. Might have needed another run with the vacuum.

Everyone working was so nice and helpful! I thought I lost a book in my room, and they went out of their was to make sure it wasn’t there- even though the room had already been cleaned. Turns out I left it somewhere else, so I really appreciate all their help! Also was great because I left my car and walked around down town on foot. Didn’t have to worry about parking!

A little noisy due to street traffic and the hospital, and a car somewhere played booming bass music for two hours. The elevator was also down for maintenance, which wasn't a problem for me, but the desk staff should have led with that considering stairs may be difficult for some people with luggage. Tuesday morning breakfast is simple biscuits and gravy.

Excellent and walkable location close to the historic area and Abraham Lincoln's House.

It’s near a train line the train is quiet enough but you do hear the horns. If you are a light sleeper this may disturb u.

Room key would only work once and hae to be rekeyed each time we left the room When I asked the clerk about any nearby restaurants, he handed me a map and told me to scan the QR code. I do know how to do that, but most people my age would probably not.

My husband didn't care for the coffee in the room. He liked the coffee in the lobby better.

The hotel is somewhat dated, albeit comfortable. The breakfast selection could have offered a wider and better selection of fruit, hot selections and pastries. That said, the front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful

The location of the Carpenter Street Hotel is excellent. It is within walking distance of the Lincoln Museum and Library as well as the National park Service Center for the original Lincoln home.(great tour!) Downtown Springfield is interesting and has good restaurants to choose from.

Only one way to enter was inconvenient and I understand. We we’re trying to leave the same time as a charter bus was starting to load up. This made for a VERY congested area. Also more fresh fruit at breakfast, our first morning there was none and second morning I got there last banana. Also give guests better towels, our were thin and small.

The location was convenient and easy to find, staff were friendly.

Bulging ceiling tile over the reception desk was dirty and showing water damage. Overall, the hotel needs to be updated as it looks tired. The edges where the carpet meets the walls and bathroom tiling in our room need real good scrubs. The continental breakfast was just edible. The TV remote didn't work sometimes - maybe it needs a new battery?

Check-in and check-out were fast and easy. Room was well insulated so that we could not hear traffic or noise from other rooms. Beds were comfortable and well made up. The location ideal to visit the Lincoln Museum.
