How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The bathtub was extremely slippery. I did end up falling in tub and yanking down the curtain. I feel it was very dangerous especially for older and younger guests.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Close to beach, nice pool. Good trip

Booked an ocean view room and ended up with a view of trees and the parking lot No housekeeping until we asked. For the cost of what was supposed to be an awesome weekend I was very disappointed.

I have never been charged for parking at a hotel we are staying at. It was not under ground, or even covered. Just a parking lot. It was 10-dollars a night to park.. Also they could offer free coffee for their travelers. StarBucks on sight, but not free.
The Hotel was beautiful, very clean, and comfortable. We did have a balcony with 2-chairs outside, but sadly the door was locked and could not be opened. Great location for what we came for (Kennedy Space Center). Discovered a great path to the ocean from the hotel. Great beach for a nice walk. Or a swim. Nice pool.

I spoke to an employee just a simple hello and she didn't respond. I was getting ice on my floor no one else was around and she looked me right in my face.

Room location was not best. View of the industrial pipes in back of hotel. Walking directions to beach not the clearest. Staff that checked me in felt a little judgmental and cold. They didn't even tell me my total when checking in, just took my credit card. Hallway and room with musty smell. No included breakfast.
In room spa bathtub was nice. The main reason I booked this room.

The lady at the front desk was incredibly rude and condescending when we checked in. She didn't give us any information and basically just threw the room keys at us. The hotel is NOT on the beach like we thought. There is NO beach view, our balcony view was a parking lot. Housekeeping barely comes unless you call and ask for them to come more often. In our 6 day stay we only had housekeeping one time.
The hotel was pretty close to the beach and was nice on the inside. All of the staff were pleasant except for one that was ridiculously rude.

We had breakfast included and we didn’t like the breakfast at all. The sandwich I had was very bland. I wouldn’t get the breakfast the next time. I would rather go to a real Starbucks and get a good breakfast for less.
This hotel was clean. The staff was friendly. The room was great! Very comfortable, and spacious too. It is in a great location, and close to everything. I would definitely stay here again.

My last night I didn’t like my service at the bistro. The server taking my order. Couldn’t seem to take my order right.
Everything was good and the rooms comfortable. Front desk was good and house keeping cleaned the room nice. The food at the bistro was good better then I expected.
