Communicated with front desk about seeing baby roaches in bathroom area of room

Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The activities were endless for kids. The restaurant within the hotel was decent. The best food item at the hotel was the hush puppies.

My check in was a little awkward as I wasn’t sure what was happening nor did the guest service clue me in until later. Check in could use a little work. Everything felt rehearsed and not genuine. I felt they didn’t want to be there but had to show up for a pay check.

Loved having a kitchenette! Close access to the beach and the pools. Cafe onsite was great! Loved the indoor park!!! Great for kids and adults! Glad it stays open until 11pm. The courtesy to check on our first night of arrival was a nice touch. Loved the location of our room !

When I got there the clerk was kinda rude because I told him they had given me the wrong room # & I had the confirmation email...later me & my son realized they mixed up our reservation they sent me his and mine to him...only other thing was toilet was too low to ground in our room...which i let them know i had knee problems...other than it was great!!! I was ready to submit my review and once again...they sent me my son's lol but it was still a great time!!!

Grandkids & my grown kids loved all the activities that was available. They didn't want to go out hardly because it was soon much there to do!!!

Roaches, Spdiers, Smell of Weed

Literally everything was amazing besides the bug and smell of weed problem.It’s beautiful, comfortable, friendly staff, locations awesome, lots to do and offer alot. Just has tons of roaches and you smell weed everywhere.

I didn't like that I had a 4PM check in and arrived at 3:45 and had to wait 2 hours to get inside my room. And I also didn't like that the room didn't hand any USB ports for charging our phones and iPads.

I like staying at Dunes village bc of how nice the rooms are and the indoor water park that my kids absolute love. And I don't hadn't to travel all that far to do things with my family away from the hotel. The staff are always really nice and helpful. I also liked that when our 3 days were up and I decided I wanted to stay another day that it wasn't a problem for us to have the room for 1 more night.

The lack of staff support or input. Some of the facilities weren’t that clean. The grounds near the indoor pools were nasty, there was never any clean towels by the pools. We missed out on our welcome Package and discounts for other activities we did. Rarely saw any staff, let alone find someone to ask for help

There was plenty to do, fantastic to have the kitchen and washing machine in the room. The room was such a great set up for families

The outdoor water park feature wasn't on in the 1ft pool. Finding a luggage cart took an hour minimum. A lot were broken and the staff didn't really care.

We enjoyed the indoor slides. The parking garage was nice and convenient.

Shower needs a hand railing. We got there 5:30 and room wasn’t ready. I originally ordered 1 bedroom, 2 double beds and got a studio NOT GOOD. Finally next day at 4:00 pm we had waited all day to get in different room. Thank goodness for LaPorcha she was awesome!

Room was dated, as was the bathroom. Definitely in need of upgrade. But was comfortable enough. The fold out bed, again, was old and quite uncomfortable. The main bed was good. I did notice some of the other rooms looked a bit more modern. Maybe the owners of each room need some inducement to keep updated.

Location was great, water park was loved by the 11yr old, beach was great. Staff were very helpful.

As business owners, we understand staffing is probably short, but we did have some broken glass and papers on the floor outside of our room for some reason; not a fan of that seeing our children are 8 and 5 years old. However, both didn't want to leave, so it was a good bday surprise.

Facilities were nice, and the kids had a wonderful time. Water parks etc. are not open until memorial day. We live in little river, SC and booked this for our sons 8th bday. Shockingly, we learned many places do not rent to locals, but the Dunes did and we love them for that. Otherwise, it was very enjoyable, and the staff we encountered were pleasant.

Room was a little dirty when checked in. Bed was a little hard and sheets were small. Sorry that they covered a mirror with a TV, would of been nice to see how you look before heading out except the small one in bathroom.

It was a little pricey, parking location and no mention upon check in that there’s designated parking garages for certain vehicle types, so we got a warning notice on our vehicle. The bathroom door at the water park was pulled right open while I was in there, so the lock obviously did not work.

I liked that it catered to family, the location and that it was right on the ocean. The water park was well-designed and there was plenty of seating in the pool area.

I don't like the smaller elevators in the South Tower and that amenities we've enjoyed on past visits are in the other building, instead of a quick elevator ride away.

We've visited many times with children, grandchildren, as a couple and as a solo older woman. This hotel is fun at any age. I much prefer the North Tower as the coffee shop, restaurant and larger elevators are located there and the building just seems to be a bit more updated. The parking deck is also located directly across from the north building. This last visit, probably due to our room choice, put us in the South Tower. It was fine and the room was beautifully clean but next time I'll ask to be in the North Tower. The hotel is well staffed and I cannot say enough about how cordial everyone is. From the front desk to the maintenance crew we met in the hallways, we felt very welcome.

Children locks on cabinets. The cafe should have breakfast as well for convenience. Or connect the towers together so you don’t have to go outside in the weather. More parking space for oversized vehicles. Cafe should think about adding pizza to the menu. The kids pool water was cold compared to the lazy river’s water.

The indoor swimming pool areas were nice and full of chairs for parents. Location was decent. Not too far from broadway.

Air conditioning unit was only one in the whole apt and it was hot and not accomidating.. ceiling fan didn't work and bathroom was not clean
