The hotel is a little old. The price was a little high because graduation weekend in Madison.

The room was clean as well as nice bedding. Bed was comfortable.

The woman who checked me in was on her cell phone and talked the entire time I checked in. She only used hand motions and barked single words to me to instruct me on what she needed. It was pretty annoying. Despite the reservation saying there was breakfast, there was only coffee. They said they shut down the breakfast area and offered no reason for why they did or if/when it would re-open...so, do not plan on breakfast. The facility was very old with a few updates (lipstick-on-a-pig sort of thing). It had a pretty depressing vibe from when I walked in to when I left.

The place was mostly what I expected for the price. It was nothing special, but it was generally clean. The price was good and it felt like a fairly safe location, though the next morning I noticed a significant number of beggars that work the area as I got gas for my car. It was fine enough for an 8-hour stop over when passing through the area.

Upon arrival there was peoples voices coming from a room you could hear outside that were partying (fortunately from inside i could not hear them).Free parking however was somewhat cramped and difficult maneuvering around. staff that checked me incas efficient but never broke a smile or engaged in any conversation or relayed gratitude for choosing their hotel etc. Air and heat worked but was semi confusing as had a control switch away from unit you needed to use to choose heat or cool. room was on ground floor with the outside parking lot right up to the building so a truck was parked in front of my only window like 4 feet away-NO WAY anyone would want to have curtains open. there were a couple of spiders in the room i found and killed. overall the place was on the darker side and was sort of odd to open a separate door to get to hallway room was down. checked out/left around 3 am and staff left a note they were gone for 10 minutes which i waited for but after no-one showed yet just left my keys and a written note i had checked out of my room.

Location was right off the interstate so getting to and leaving again was convenient. Nice king size bed and plenty of free cable options available for watching tv. restaurants and gas station close by to drive to not walk though. check-ion was fairly simple and quick. parking (free) available at hotel.

Desk clerk was very friendly. For my short stay due to flight changes, it was fine., definitely inexpensive You get what you pay for. I mean; the value is even the brand; Econo Lodge.

Our neighbor had a door constantly opening and closing every 15 minutes between the hours of 9-midnight. It was located close to an exit so it made us question what type of activity was going on…

Every little negative detail, me and my boyfriend would just say “well, it IS a 2 star hotel”: Room smelled musty, almost like an old old man. There was no heater, only A/C and that didn’t really work, so we had to open the window to get fresh cool air (we went at the beginning of November). Mini fridge didn’t work that well. The shower curtain was dirty, had makeup foundation on it. The smell of the bed was questionable if the sheets were actually washed or just remade from the previous customers. The toilet had hair on the seat, so definitely wasn’t washed prior to our check-in. On our last day, there was a woman screaming in the hallways, knocking on someone’s door, threatening to fight them and we could hear everything from our room…

The staff was pretty nice. We got to the hotel pretty late, around 11 pm, but the lady at the front desk was so nice and helpful, gave us some information about the area! Only she deserved a 5/5 lol Other positive things: there’s hot water on demand (don’t have to wait long for it to warm up), pretty spacious room, microwave worked. So it’s an okay place to stay if you’re just spending the night and don’t want to spend a lot of money.
