Restaurant and Tiki bar closed at 4pm due to rainy weather

Directly at the waterfront with wild dolphins playing in the water, large room with clean bathroom, comfortable beds, good breakfast included, free parking included, next to highway 1, but quiet, friendly staff, pool, Tiki bar, little beach

No elevator on premises. Had to carry all our luggage up the steep stairs to our room on the 2nd floor.

Shared space with other guests outside the room is close. The couple next door were so drunk, when they started arguing it became uncomfortable sitting and enjoying the view, so we ended up going to bed early. I think that's luck of the draw, though (we were there during spring break). Rooms are soundproof, though, so that was something.

It's a lovely place - we were only there for one night, so we used the pool, enjoyed the views, and left early in the morning to continue our drive down the keys. It's a beautiful setting and I could have stayed there longer.

I felt the weekend evening bartender wasn’t attentive. Both nights there big bar was slow and always had an issue getting her to notice when you needed something.

Property was very comfortable as a stopover held to further points down the FL Keys…. pool was decent, beach area small but adequate. The staff was very accommodating & property was better than expected. Note though— on the water & time of season= mosquitos

Parking , it seemed some of the spaces nearest the rooms were being used by some just using the beach.

Gilberts has all the amenities right there. Also, was great seeing security around the property.

the beach area is way too small and hard to enjoy because it stays more for the kids and have some white powered in the water that made me didn’t want to go in, not a enjoy the beach area. The restaurant they have near is good but some food for us was not well served and I needed to return it, my sandwich came only plain bread and fish in it! and at night they had blackout in the system. Food could be way better for the price and place.

the view is amazing and the room is very clean and comfortable but kinda small space for 2 imagine for 4 people family. good place to go a little time vacay.

The tiny beach that seems to be open to the public. no lounge chairs to sit and enjoy.

It would be nice to have the ability to charge to the room so there is only 1 bill at the end. Breakfast could use a little variety and more fresh fruit ... berries and melon and grapes. Fresh oatmeal (not packaged), healthier yogurt options, english muffins...fresh baked goods vs. packaged. Discount coupons to area restaurants and attractions. DVD players in the rooms would be helpful for those who are not into partying late into the night....and a RedBox.

Location location location. Lovely little beach. Good breakfast buffet. Super friendly staff and servers at the restaurant and tiki bar. Very upbeat vibe to the atmosphere. Room was very clean. Food was great. Kayaking, paddle board and jet skis available. Good security around the clock.

The feral cats on site need some help! Please have them fixed so they stop having kittens.

The staff at the main Tiki bar (Claudio and Becka) were great!! Went there for 2 days and stayed on site for both days. The pool was very nice!

I didn't like the fact that there was no doors between rooms also the ice creams in the vending machine were old and for a family of 6 there was only one tiny soap and one tiny bottle of shampoo and conditioner I feel it should be accommodated to family size and we couldn't swim in the beach area everything else was good

The room was very spacious and had beautiful access to the deck outside, with a waterfront view. The bar had an excellent atmosphere and was really a highlight of our stay in this area.

The staff could have been a bit more friendly. It was our first time at Gilbert's and some information, e.g., about parking, swimming or activites near by would have been helpful to us.

The Gilbert's ressort has a great location to visit Florida Keys, the Everglades and Miami. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. The bathrooms were good. We also enjoyed the Tiki Bar and some sunsets at the beach. In the mornings there is a good breakfast.

The room was a superior king room with an ocean view. It really was a basic hotel room with a king bed, didn't even have a microwave. Pool area was nice, but the lounge chairs were plastic and uncomfortable. The Beach area is open to the public and very few chairs which were even more uncomfortable than the chairs by the pool. The mosquitoes were horrible at sundown, so it was impossible to sit outside. A lot of places have screened patios which I will definitely look for next time. It is outside of Key Largo, so it was always a drive to go anywhere.

Nice resort, breakfast is included. The Tiki bar is nice with nightly entertainment. Nice pool and beautiful sunsets.
