Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

GermanyAu contraire to my previous stays at this Hampton Inn, it was a disappointing experience. Never had I gotten this kind of room before. I was used to the renovated rooms, this one must have been an older one, judging from the bathroom. Had a reservation for 4 people, but only towels/toiletries for 2 were provided. When I requested more towels, they made me come downstairs to the front desk. Also, the sofa bed wasn't prepared. After I tried it myself without any success,, I asked the front desk for help. Housekeeping came, pulled it out, together with a completely wrinkled sheet as a cover. If this was a cheap 2 star hotel, I would not mention all this, but for this price/reputation, I clearly expect more. The location of the room was another let down: across from the elevator and ice machine. Not a lot of sleep between "pinging" and ice rattling.
This time, only the convenient location was a plus

United StatesTwo key shortcomings. None of the staff were fully masked. They either covered mouth only or had no mask. I saw housekeepers in the hall and enter rooms not wearing a mask. When I made the reservation the website clearly said masks were required inside public spaces. I would not have booked if I had known this property essentially was managed as if the pandemic was over. The fire alarm went off at 5:00 am. After 15 minutes no one came outside to inform the guests what was happening and no fire truck had arrived - because at no time had staff called the fire department. Instead a large group of guests gathered tightly in the lobby unmasked. After 20 minutes a staff member came out and told guests the kitchen set off the alarm and we could go back inside although the alarm was still blaring. At that time we called the fire department and had been told no one from the hotel had called. When we asked staff why the fire department hadn’t been called he said we’re all new. The fire department arrived and the alarm finally went off. We can’t believe staff don’t receive training and show proficiency on how to safely and effectively manage a fire. I would like a refund.

United StatesWe arrived and the rooms were not ready. Left for two hours, came back to the hotel and they did not have two queen rooms which is what we reserved. Gave us keys and one of the rooms was still being cleaned. I opened the curtains in my room and the view was an air handler! Continental breakfast with cereal and NO bowls

United StatesI told a lady working at the desk about how hot it was in my room and they just told me they were sorry. Not to mention my sister has asthma which made us have to go get a travel fan so we’d actually have a breeze throughout the night. Plus not to mention I booked a different room than what i was given.
I’ve always stayed at Hampton, but this was very unacceptable. The weather is already super hot outside and my room ac wouldn’t blow cold. I don’t have a single good thing to say about this particular location.
