Very good airport hotel

Was not greeted by anyone at registration and had to say hello a couple of times to get someone from the back to come attend to my Check-in. Found that to be the situation anytime I needed assistance from the front desk. ALSO, the day we checked out, I called to report that we had forgotten my husband's hearing aids. I never could get through. I called the next day, same thing. I finally had to call the 800 reservation number for them to connect me. They told me they would check with the housekeeper and call me right back. Never heard back, called that afternoon, again the same thing. Called the next day to talk to the manager, who wasn't in until 9, and was kept on the line after they heard how upset I was to check with the housekeeper. I was told they did not find the hearing aids even though I knew we left them there on the bedside table shelf. Asked for the manager to give me a call, but I never got a call. If they would have answered the phone the day we left, they could have walked in there and found them exactly where he left them. So if you stay, watch your belongings!

The location was excellent for where we needed to be for our plans.

Unfortunately the pool door malfunctioned and pool was unavailable one evening until morning when maintenance was able to fix.

A very long cold night wait for the courtesy van on airport arrival. All three van drivers were good, but the van is small and it was busy. We requested a 6:30am wake up call that never was made. Luckily we were up but that could have been a disaster and is inexcusable. The property is near the airport but nothing else. It’s a well maintained older hotel with a heat/ac unit without a wall thermostat and a tv with no HDMI port.

The daytime staff was friendly and helpful. The heated indoor pool was fabulous - a highlight. The breakfast was good. The property is clean and well maintained. While there’s almost nothing nearby, if you don’t have a car, the courtesy van will take you to restaurants, etc..

There was a huge cockroach in our room. We tried to kill it, but it got away. Not good.

Communication of what rooms are cleaned up and made could’ve been a little better. The room we had reserved still hadn’t house keeping yet, which made us switch rooms. The lady working up front was very nice and professional.

Pillows are too small. Bathtub did not drain properly. T.V. did not work. Saw a not so small bug on carpet in room :(

The shuttle driver Rick was a bit rude and distasteful to passengers.

Our stay at Hampton in was wonderful the breakfast was perfect for our group’s needs. We had the most incredible experience with the shuttle driver, Lynn. She really made us feel comfortable and added that extra sense of comfort needed to make our time at the Hampton perfect.

The pool tiles were very dirty and the elevators seemed pretty janky. The beds are a little to hard for my taste, but the room and every where else was clean and nice.

The man working front desk, George, it was his first day the day I checked in. He was very kind, polite and didn't hesitate to get what you needed. You could see he was a bit overwhelmed, but stayed calm and handle everything fanatically. Everyone who worked there that I ran into was very kind and would ask if everything was okay or if we needed anything. Very nice people! Great experience and nice place to stay.

The common room was dirty from construction. The ac wasn't working in my room the first night and should've been checked before hand, but they did put me in another room the next night
