The guy at the front desk who did the check in was terrible. He should know that he work in hospitality not in a rap movie.

We visited for a five-day stay in NYC and it wasn't until the evening of our fourth night that they finally showed up to refresh the room. We requested four times to have the room refreshed and scheduled time while we were out of the room. Thankfully we were able to get extra towels and TP by tracking down housekeeping in the halls, but had to empty our own overflowing trash from the room. When housekeeping finally did show up, they were earlier than our requested scheduled time, so we were still getting ready for dinner and had to hurry to vacate the room.

I like the location, right in between Central Park and Times Square. Easy access to the subway system. Lots of food and shopping options to pick from.

In the hallway was air conditioning unit that made loud bussing sound so we had to sleep with earplugs, above the bed was I think smoke detector that had green flashing light every few seconds apart that was annoying when you are going to sleep . I did not complain about this but I’m sure the staff had moved us to another room if I had asked . Everything else was great

The location was excellent, centrally situated near Times Square. We had a king size room with a terrace, and it was very clean.

The TV remote didn't respond very well, meaning you had to press the same button around 5 times to get a response, but this was hardly an issue with there being so much to do around the hotel.

The location is brilliant for getting around New York, with Central Park being less than a 5 minute walk away, and Times Square being around a 10 minute walk. Also very easy to get to and from the airport when using public transport, without having to swap to multiple lines. The hotel itself was very clean and the staff were friendly, and helpful if you had any questions.

The room was a bit small but I guess that is what you pay for in that part of the city. Also, you are charged $100 a night in advance for a deposit. It is refunded back to you, but it was a bit of a surprise at the beginning of my trip.

It was very easy to get to from the airport via using public transportation! It is centrally located. We could walk to central park and it is close to time square too. All of the necessary subway stations are very close by. And there are a ton of places to eat very close by. The room was clean and nice.

For some reason, they gave me a connecting room and all night long, there was a weird noice that sounded like a dripping water noice, which made my stay uncomfortable! Also, there was no barrier or measure in place (only a floor towel which could not do the job) for preventing water from wetting the bathroom floors after showering.

Location was very convenient to Lincoln Center/Columbus circle, where I was attending a jazz festival so that was a plus! The bed was comfortable and room looked clean.

Our room was directly next to another door down a small corridor - the people in said room woke us up so many times shutting the door late at night! This was definitely due to the layout of the rooms rather than the people being noisy.

Great location - a short walk from Times Square and Central Park. Very near subway too. Clean and fairly modern rooms with a smart TV.

I've stayed in several Hilton Garden Inn hotels in the US and Canada and this was the worst. It was super expensive (near Xmas so no surprise there) and the decor was in desperate need of a refresh. The staff didn't seem to care too much and the tiny lobby was always very crowded with people waiting for the lift/elevator. Didn't have breakfast as there were cheaper and nicer options elsewhere. That's New York for you!

Location was good for Central Park. Hilton chain is predictable so you know roughly what you're getting.

rooms need refurbishment, breakfast only in a neighboring restaurant with limited meal choice (please be aware of tips for staff!), fees for luggage storage (only two pieces per room are free of charge), you might find better options for money you pay

The first room I was given was on a floor with the generator by it and I had to request to move as there was a loud humming noise I could hear from my room. The elevators are very slow indeed and very run down.

When we arrived at the hotel they told us that there was no reservation having our name! We had to contact Booking.com and it took 1 hour to convince the hotel staff. Booking.com called the hotel and the hotel staff was just ignoring the calls, until I told them to please answer. They wanted to have us book another room for a much higher price! So be careful! Call the hotel in advance and keep the Booking.com reservation numbers always with you!
