Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe front desk guy lied about the shuttle cost to the port. While checking in, he said that the port shuttle was $12 per person one way. I thought I was paying that until the following morning I asked for clarification. Another associate explained that the port shuttle cost was not only $12 per person one way BUT also $12 per day to leave our car at the hotel, totaling $120. As a result, I canceled the shuttle. My sister canceled hers as well. I had called months ago to confirm the price and was told it was $12 per person. I recommend that the staff be informed of the accuracy of the port shuttle price quotes. It’s an annoyance to the guests to receive inaccurate information. We went ahead and drove ourselves to the port. This was our 2nd year staying at this location. This will most likely influence any future stays for me.

They ONLY thing I was surprised with was that the pool seemed a bit small, BUT, there was minimal people using it. for a few hours, we basically had it to ourselves. Fantastic stay, we would do it again in a heartbeat. The staff was some of the friendliest and most educated I've been around in a long time. Every question we presented, they were willing to give and had great information.
All of the meals we had on property were very good. My wife raved about the coconut rice and shrimp. I must say it was very good. Breakfast was great as well.
