Older historic hotel

If you want cookie cutter spiffy perfection, don’t come here. The hotel is old. Some of the carpet is worn. Sometimes hot water takes a long time to come on.

It is fascinating with old west decor. It is clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was great! WiFi worked well.

The elevator on the first floor wouldn't open (I had two weeks worth of luggage to take out of my car, and had to lug it all up to the 2nd floor before it could get on the elevator). And I travelled with my husband, who walks with a cane and is disabled, so he had to climb stairs every time we left or took out our dogs. The toilet flapper didn't have a seal, so it would randomly need to have the tank refilled and was SO LOUD, and when it went empty during the night, it would do it on its own, which woke us. Poor maintenance all around.

The area is great and right across from the old train depot and the Accomplice Brewing/Good Egg restaurant. It was easy to get to all the things downtown from the hotel, either by walking or getting to your car to go.

The elevator from the 1st to the 2nd floor was out of order. The rugs in the hallways have not been cleaned or replaced in a long, long time. The bathroom fixtures date from the 1940s at best, and they show it.

This is a beautiful, historic hotel and it is located in the center of historic Cheyenne. Entering the lobby transports one to what a high class hotel this must have been in the 1920s or 30s. Also, the person at reception was very friendly, courteous and helpful, both at arrival in the evening and departure the next morning.

Used to be a restaurant and bar there, and didn’t know it had all been shut down. Makes the place seem empty, lifeless, and near its end

Sink is not in the bathroom, it is out in the main room-- not ideal after using the toilet and having to open the door. Some upkeep could be done on the bathroom window, paint, and floor tile--chipping is happening.

Beautiful entrance and sitting area. Price was good and beds were comfortable. Very friendly front desk staff and good central location. Easy on-street parking was appreciated. Historic ambiance.

Heating is not good. The window unit ran all night and it is very noisy. The bathroom was too cold in the morning. I was glad I didn’t need to shower.

I love the historical details of the hotel and all the displays of antiques. Rooms are large and the beds comfortable.

Although this is a historic hotel it is definitely in need of some updating. You can keep historic charm while updating tubs/shower heads. This is the 2nd time we've stayed there that the water comes out of the tub faucet brown; 1st time during CFD when we paid $458 for 1 night. We had to let it run for over 5 minutes to get it to somewhat clear up; then was still not completely clear. Need new comfortable mattresses.

Convenience of being close to everything downtown. Front desk clerk was very friendly. Easy check out. I like that you have to have a code to get back into the building after a certain time at night.

Location is perfect. Within walking distance to shops, casinos and restaurants.

The breakfast was not free like I thought it was. The toilet seat wouldn't stay up due to how it was installed with the flusher behind it. I never did find the workout room.

The room had all the necessities and was located in the heart of downtown. I felt very safe there. It was a very cute, historic feel.
