Quiet and great view

The hotel is well over due for modernisation and the rooms were more than a little tired. However there is a refurbishment due soon. We had some extremely loud and raucous guests arrive in the adjoining room that conducted all conversations at top volume. We were buoyed that the hotel had a noise policy precluding noise nuisance after 10pm and 07.00am. Our neighbours ignored this and kept us awake until the early hours, and kicked off again at 06.00am. Not the hotels fault directly, but we did report the nuisance as it was occurring but these thoughtless selfish people just carried on. We had a long drive the following day and the lack of sleep was a serious issue. The reception manager and staff were exceptional and went some way in assuaging our disappointment.

I booked the handicap room as I had just have knee replacement surgery. Shower was a walk in shower. As I stepped out of shower on to the floor I almost slipped and fell. Had it not been for the rails at the toilet I would have fallen. The floors are too slippery when they are wet. Floor needs to be redone to help future guest.

The hotel is very nice. A few things need a little bit of work. Some of the furniture and bathroom fixtures could use some repair and updating. However, the property is very clean and there are little signs everywhere indicating that they are in the process of renovating while not disrupting our stay. I would agree that they are doing that. I have stayed in other places that were in renovations where the stay was disrupted. This place was great: quiet, neat, clean, etc.

The breakfast was excellent! One of the best I have had lately. The size of the room was very nice. It even had a beautiful mountain view! The location was perfect for what we wanted to do. So close to everything!

Breakfast could use some improvements, the biscuit gravy was lukewarm at best . I would have liked to see grits and just scrambled eggs on the buffet instead of the cheese omlets. They were not very good and the ends of the cheese omlets were hard. The toilet in our room run continuously and we ran out of clean towels on our last day but the housekeeper did bring some fresh towels before long.

We enjoyed our stay, the location is great and it was easy to get in and out of the hotel. It's close enough to drive to just about anywhere you need to go . The staff was friendly and the beds are comfy enough.

The day staff confirmed our reservation at 1 but could not check in yet and were Very kind! The evening girl was not kind and gave our room to another person and changed our reservation and was not very kind and she reluctantly gave us another room but not what we had originally booked for. Spoke to other staff next day and they were Extremely kind and helpful about what had happened. Other than losing our booked room and that one staff member, it was truly great! Very nice place! Another staff member replaced that unkind staff member and she was amazing as we saw her helping a homeless person and was just so kind in helping them. So, other than that one staff member, they were wonderful!

I have neurological issues due to chemicals I was exposed to in my 26 year Naval Career, and 20 year civil service career with every branch of the military. The house keeping ladies were great and extremely cooperative giving me non toxic bed linen but somehow my clothes still got chemicals in them that were toxic to me while I was here - I pray none of you ever get this problem, but these things that affected me aboard Aircraft Carriers are now gone.
