My room had a very bad smell of stale urine in the carpets. I had to use my car freshener to try to eliminate the smell. The bathroom shower floor felt a bit gritty, but the toilet and sink area was clean. In addition there were teen boys roaming the floors late at night , making noise as well as and throwing football outside of the main entrance to the hotel. There was no adult supervision for these kids and their loud ruckus was extremely annoying.

The breakfast food was very good. I enjoyed it. The food area was clean and very organized. It would have been nice to have fresh fruit or yogurt as well.

Everything was adequate for our needs.

Breakfast was ok. Just the usual stuff. Accommodation was ok too. Location was good for downtown Gastonia and for onward travel to Asheville.

The location! All over the parking lot were signs warning about leaving property in the car. Inside the hotel was fine. Once you exited, it had all kinds of people outside, intoxicated, homeless, people yelling profanity. Our room had some leftover trash under the sink, floors were dirty, pubic hair on the bathroom floor, and on the side of the tub. Room smelled stale like maybe mold.

Our room could have been a lot cleaner, it wasn't dirty as far as the linen and bathroom but the carpet was gross. It looked like someone spilled juice by the bed and as if someone bled on the carpet in another area. Also, the chair in the room for you to sit on had pet hair on it which lets me know that it hasn't been cleaned.

The location is great because there's a ton of restaurants and shopping within 5 miles of the hotel. It's nice that they have an indoor pool as well. The staff was really nice and accommodating.

I had to get them to clean our tub and the ac unit had a weird smell. They offered to switch our room and did clean the tub for us. Breakfast bar was okay.

It was only 30 mins from where we needed to be and price was reasonable. They were very accommodating for the small issues we had upon arrival.

The A/C was very loud. The first room we got stank to wet rag and we had to change (they changed it without a problem). The staff at the lobby was not very nice. When we arrived she was on the phone, so I waited not to interrupt and then she didn't even say hi/good evening, just "are you checking in" barely looking at me. The bathroom needs to be cleaned better. Also, we arrived late at night and when we parked a homeless person was biking around with a broom stick asking for money. It didn't make us feel very safe or relaxed about leaving some things in the car.

I think the entire Hotel could have used a little TLC. I didn't get the impression that the staff was very concerned about the cleanliness. A lot of little details should be taken care of.

Breakfast was well done, excellent choices and the lady serving was extremely friendly. Very much enjoyed!

Can't think of anything. Room 404, tv remote would not turn TV off. Bathroom did not have a functional vent fan. Shower curtain appeared to be designed for a RH tub (the screen section went wide to narrow from water source instead of the opposite).

Good variety of breakfast choices. Very satisfied. Great water pressure in shower. Comfortable bedding, firm mattress with soft pillow top. Many comfortable pillows.

The air unit in our room was humid. The room felt extra damp the whole stay. The faucet for the vanity in our room was cold water when it should be hot and hot water when it should be cold. That was tough for our child to get water temperature correct when he was using it. The bathroom outlet didn’t work even after resetting it. We had to use our plug in items in the room by the beds which wouldn’t allow others to sleep in if needed. The pool was closed and a big reason we wanted to stay here since we had a child with us. There was only 1 ice machine working even though they have them on every floor.

The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was wonderful.
