Our bathroom wasn’t the cleanest when we arrived (blue hairs stuck in the sink drain, brown marks on the soap shelf in the shower that we wiped away before putting our products on), people in the room above us were very loud (we did call the desk and they let me know they asked them to be quiet after my call to them which was very nice!), as I was doing a final check of the room before check out at 11:02 we had a house keeper banging on our door hard and yelling, I said I was coming to the door to open it but then she used her key and walked in anyways on us and it was unsettling. We had just tried to do a final check to ensure we didn’t forget anything and we felt like we were being kicked out. I do understand it was 11:02 but it still felt a bit of an aggressive way to check the room. I also wish parking prices were a bit better than $30usd per day.

I liked the safety and kind staff members, I enjoyed the comfort of the beds in the room. The breakfast was good and the seating and hours were good as well. The access to a water fountain and ice machine was so incredibly convenient. The air conditioning system worked well and kept us cool after long days of walking around in the sun. There were no signs of bugs or pests in the areas of the hotel I had seen. Very conveniently located. Very short walk to the subways, shopping, and dining.

    1. We had to request our room to be cleaned multiple times. Once they started cleaning the room while we were at breakfast so we requested them to come back later, but they never did. 2. our room was only cleaned 2/4 days we were there

    1. Breakfast is doable- it is not the most diverse but it can work. Especially the omelette options are good 2. Location is good - a 10 min walk to the Newport Path station, and the Newport mall (or a $8-10 uber/lyft) 3. The front desk lady was really helpful for extending our checkout due to a medical emergency

The room was queen bed and sofa bed. The sofa bed was terrible. Couldn't get a proper sleep there. Fair breakfast but for the prise sould be better.

Clean and nice breakfast. Good location, not perfect but fair enough. Stayed there four nights with family.

Breakfast was chaotic. The space is crowded, and there is no clear way to organize yourself/line up, etc.

The location was convenient for getting in and out of the city. Parking was easy and the staff was very friendly.

In the room where the reception is, is also the room where you have breakfast. In the morning it wasn’t always possible to sit because there were too many people. Also there was no privacy for the people to ask a question at the reception. Everyone could overhear you what also happened when a customer came with a complaint.

The hotel is very good for NY. The bed slept well and the room was very nice. The reception was available 24/7 and was very helpful.

Breakfast was a bit tricky. There weren’t enough tables for the guests, so you had to wait in line to get a table or a seat. Also the pancake machine was broken in the last days of our stay.

Close proximity to PATH, light rail, busses to NY and also to a mall. Everything was near and the staff was super helpful.

A great value family place to stay when visiting NYC

The breakfast area (in front of reception) is tiny - and not easy to find seats for a family around 9am (peak hour, I suppose?). It is asked by management not to stay there longer than 25 mins, but not sure if that is respected. As the hotel seems to be used mostly by families, tourists and not by business travallers, they should maybe adapt / extend the breakfast hours (currently until 9h30) or simply get more seats & tables during this time. The airco in the room is very loud when it works, we managed to find a way to switch it off, but not obvious how to regulate it. As the hotel is located in Jersey City, the flat airport fee of Manhattan taxis does not apply - and the Holland Tunnel to go towards Manhattan costs 18$ (to come here from Manhattan, it is free). Uber is still available though. (If you fly from JFK, you need to count 1.5-2 hours to get to the airport from here by car.)

Great value for money, 5-10 mins walk to a big shopping center with restaurants (and you have some fast food even closer) , big Target supermarket, PATH station that takes 15 mins to get to the center of Manhattan. The receptionists (Roxanne, Oksana) were really kind and helpful. The room was functional, modern, in new state, correctly equipped, clean, spacious enough - it could easily accomodate our family of 5 incl a toddler. There is even a gym and a laundry room for guests in the hotel. If you come by car, parking is possible but you need to pay. However, it is possible to stop in their parking for the time of checking-in / out for free. Overall a great family place to stay when visiting NYC.

Did not enjoy the noisy neighbours, but did not report this, so that's on us. Additional price for parking was quite steep.

Room was tidy, beds comfortable. Good breakfast, plenty choices. Rather nice view of the New York skyline, by day and by night.

Pull out mattress was thin (to be expected). Breakfast seating was minimal (but staff let us know to anticipate this when we checked in night before).

Appreciated the flooring in the rooms—no carpet is a win for us due to cleanliness factor. Facility was very clean and staff was very accommodating. Appreciated available laundry.

THE HOT WATER! The sink and shower's hot water took too long to warm-up to a comfortable level. A night light installed in the bathroom would have made the 4:00am run to the bathroom less intrusive. We had to use the overheard and sink lights.

The only comment I have about our stay was the quality of the flip out bed/sofa. The mattress was really bad quality, really thin and I could feel the bed's springs underneath. Luckily, I'm a good sleeper - but I did feel like I had to sacrifice myself for my friends so they could sleep in the comfortable beds. So that would be the only thing I think they can improve on.

Our stay was wonderful. Great location. Great value for money. Connection with New York city was amazing, using the Hoboken Path train. Staff was helpful and nice. We were allowed to leave our luggage after checking out so we could enjoy our last day in NY. So overall amazing experience and very happy I found this place.

The hotel is located along a very busy avenue (exit of Holland Tunnel), so ask for a room facing the opposite side if you don't want to hear the traffic all night long. Also, the breakfast is poor in choices and the dinner room is really too small to welcome hotel guests in the morning (We usually waited 10-15 minutes each morning to have a table).

The price is really cheaper compare to Manhattan hotels. The rooms are rather large for a standard hotel, which was convenient for our family of 4. The hotel is located nearby amenities (mall, train) so it's quite convenient to reach downtown from this point.

We had no hot water in the bathroom either morning when trying to take a shower and the hotel wasn’t even full. They need to invest in larger hot water tanks that can handle the number of rooms and people that stay. Coffee maker in room barely worked or have all day coffee service in the lobby. Staff offered to move us but we chose to stay in the room as we would have had to pack everything up and we were ready to head to NYC to go seeing. Also offered to provide another coffee maker but we ended up fighting with ours.

Beautiful decor and very clean. Great staff
