Would be nice to have a microwave in the room, certainly not a deal breaker.

Location is great - central, walkable and well connected to other areas by public transit. Nice city views from the 21st floor. Clean and quiet. Comfy beds with a selection of soft and firm pillows for fussy sleepers - yay! Whole Foods across the street and some good restaurants and bakeries blocks away. Super-efficient check-in/check-out.

The staff is sometimes ignorant to guests who are waiting in line. That applies to concierge and dining staff, while the receptionists were friendly and welcoming. Rooms are a bit smaller than expected. The air in rooms was not pleasant and it seemed to us as if there was no airflow at all. Bathroom was a little outdated. While I understand the need for hotels to protect their property, taking deposits as a temporary charge on the credit card is not preferred with guests as there are other ways to do it.

We booked a 'King Room with Grand View' for our stay. The view was amazing. We liked the breakfast and variety of food that was available to us. The processing during the check in and out was fast and smooth. We were provided with a coffee machine in our room for free, although coffee was not tasting so good. It was raining during our stay and hotel provided us with umbrellas for free. A sufficient amount of toiletries was available for us. I would like to note here that Holiday Inn is an 'essential' brand under IHG group and maybe other guests had unrealistic expectations when they booked this hotel in the past.

It would have been nice if toothpaste was supplied in every room. The air conditioning was also quite noisy when it would come on so most of the time we had it off. Just lucky that the weather was mild. We experienced the same thing when we stayed at Holiday Inn Golden Gateway from April 27 - May 1.

The best asset of Holiday Inn Golden Gateway is its location! It’s close to all bus stops and is in a safe area which is always an asset. The staff were all very nice, warm, accommodating and friendly. And giving us the extra hour to check out without having to pay extra was a bonus and very much appreciated. The hotel room also had all the amenities such as coffee maker, iron, etc. which made it all the more convenient. And of course having a pool!

The beds are full-size beds and really too small for two people. The rooms are very small. The trash cans in the rooms are tiny, and there were no trash bags to take out the trash. The cleaning crew left a used towel from the previous customer in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet is not worth the $30 price.

The hotel was safe, and the staff were professional. There's an iron, steamer, coffee pot, safe, and refrigerator in the room. The AC works very well. The pool and fitness room are very nice and updated. There are vending machines and a CVS medicine machine. There is a cafe, bar, and buffet breakfast on-site every morning from 630-1030 am. The parking garage is the cheapest in town at $45 per night.

Hotel does not offer basic need of water as complimentary which i found it petty while you have paid alot for a night rate.

Chair in room broken. Air would not turn on

Very helpful staff. Very friendly . But my husband's surgery was more entailed so I had to extend my stay at a much higher rate! I finally slept in the hospital because I couldn't afford $700. for the same room. This was a crises in our family. No humanity from the hotel. Just type in computer & say that's the rate. I really expected more He lived, I slept in a chair for 2 nights. Not feeling safe and comfortable in the hotel. I explained my situation, but no help from desk. The first few nights were wonderful. The tall darker skin raiders fan was amazing! I was very dissapointed when I need to stay longer, husband fighting to live. I thought your hotel would at least help . No I had to pay 3x the amount for the same room. Where's your customer service?

The air conditioner in the room was very loud and couldn't be used at night due to the noise, making the room really hot at night. And when it was turned on, it blew directly onto one need making that bed freeze

Friendly and welcoming staff members, quiet room facing east, large comfy bed with nice linens and pillows, spacious bathroom, good-quality towels, toiletries, good room and task lighting, very large TV screen, closet with ample hangers, easy chair and small table plus a desk and chair, blackout shades. Centrally located close to public transit and neighborhood shopping and dining district.
