How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The air conditioning was very close to bed and blowing on us as we slept. Need it for the Arizona heat but left feeling congested. Wobbly refrigerator.
Everyone was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location was central enough with access to the freeway which allowed for easy commute. The room was cozy, clean, and comfortable for us. Overall great experience.

Lovely staff. I stayed here solo for just over 36 hours as I was in town for an event, and chose this hotel as they provided a free airport shuttle. You do need to call when you need it and let the front desk know ahead of time when you'd like to head to the airport. Front desk provided bottled water when asked. The room was MUCH bigger than I expected (or needed tbh). Nothing special about the view, location, etc but it was clean and close to where I needed to go!

The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the staff were ready to help with whatever concerns I had. Will definitely be staying again, and be telling all my friends and family where to stay when traveling to Phoenix.

The room was spacious and comfortable. As for as the Home2 Suites brand goes, it is easily the nicest and more comfortable of any I've been in.

Very nice facility and room. The most comfortable bed and pillows that we have had in a hotel in a long time. The large refrigerator and dishwasher are nice to have available but we didn't use them. We really loved being close to the airport but far enough that we couldn't hear it.

Just a few tables to have breakfast, we had to wait to get ours.
The rooms are very spacious and have a nice kitchen that's a plus. Good Internet speed and everything looks clean.

Amazing! Insanely clean, quiet, the bed was so comfortable (you could actually sleep both horizontally and vertically). Great staff, breakfast, location, everything! I would definitely stay again.

Not the friendliest of staffs.
I was in Phoenix only as a stopover to the Grand Canyon. So the closeness to the airport was important for me. The shuttle bus service is great and useful. The hotel is very clean and the room was amazing, I wish I could have stayed more in there. The free breakfast is rich and well managed.

The room was great, but the bathroom door (a pocket door) would not stay shut - kept sliding open (room 223)
Very bright, clean, modern spacious room with kitchenette, office space & seating area. Nice walk-in shower as well. Good hot breakfast included.

I would have liked the price match, as I believe I paid $60 more than the price quoted for the day.

The only thing I didn't like was they had the shower gel and shampoo on the wall for use in the shower, but the conditioner was provided in a tiny bottle that was not nearly enough for my long hair plus my two sons have long hair. However, I just asked for a few extra bottles of conditioner at the front desk and they didn't complain or say they can't give me more so that was nice. Also, my digital key was not working to get into the pool but again, when I went to the front desk to ask for a card key, the woman at the front desk said she would make me one but so that we didn't have to wait, she would let us into the pool area and then bring me the card key once it was made. Awesome customer service here!
I liked the friendliness of the staff, everything was really clean, including the pool. Breakfast was excellent, they had options to make breakfast sandwiches as well as waffles, oatmeal and cereal. The room was really spacious and clean. The water pressure was really good compared to other hotels I've stayed at. It did take about 5-10 minutes for the water to heat up in the shower but once it was hot, it was great.
