No steady staff at front desk had to wait 20 minutes to check in, then staff shows up with a dog and family members(1 adult and 1 child) and had a black eye. After going to room 307 finding roaches rug stained visible big spots. Fridge not cold.Changed to room 321 found roach in shower. The next day cleaning staff in corridor, but not content. Did give me all I asked in supplies. I had to vacuum rug was not vacuumed. Floor not swept. No garbage pale in bathroom only small one in bedroom. Comfy king bed and nice sofa bed. Quiet no noises.

Although staff members were fairly friendly, none of them were able to correctly tell me the arrival time for the city bus that stopped right outside their door. After asking 3 different receptionists and receiving 3 different answers, none of which were accurate, I finally took my chances and just waited for a bus to come. To me, it just seems inconceivable that the hotel was unable to provide info to its visitors on what is a major bus route to downtown Sarasota. My room was also not impressive. Aside from having a disconnected smoke detector (illegal), a very noisy AC system, stained sheets, the cleaning, esp in the bathroom was really not up to par. Last, but not least, I did not realize when I booked that this was a pet hotel. And, while I was not really bothered by the animals staying there, I do think the wear and tear on the hotel was indicative of its pet status.

There was really nothing Good about the hotel. It's most positive attribute was its location, which was fairly close to downtown, but other than a Subway, and some Mexican restaurant/bar, there was really nothing within walking distance of the hotel, and the city bus only came once every 40 minutes. Re the Mexican restaurant, it did seem to be a pretty popular place, but my take on it was that it was kinda expensive, had a limited menu, and the food was so-so. Thank goodness for the bar.

Room 313. Poor air conditioning. Air conditioner and mini fridge condensate leaked into carpet, causing wetness around these appliances to about a foot and a half away, and permeating mold smell throughout room. Bath tub did not empty water (likely clogged) when showering. Blow dryer did not work. Mini fridge was off upon arrival.

It was a lot of people that it looks like they live there, trashy and upstairs smells like weed. Is no a bad hotel but if you go with kids could be hard. Weird people, homeless, the smell

the bed sheet seemed not to have been changed, I found a hair in it, room a bit dirty, smell of cigarettes and humidity in the lobby and room, the lady at the front desk is very friendly

The room was not clean. The sheets and towels were laundered but the curtains and headboard had nasty stains, the shower head with completely blue with mineral/mold build up. Small trash items that slipped were left behind the bed on the floor underneath the built in headboard. It appears they just do the bare minimum to maintain the rooms, which even for the affordable price, seems off-base.

Pet friendly and very nice staff. The room was very spacious with a lounge area, two sinks and a fridge/microwave/couches and two TVs.

I was there for two nights in the room and the bedroom was broken, I asked for extra pillows and blankets multiple times and kept being told they will call me back, when I asked them about the TV they were not nice proceeded to tell me I was not programming it right the first night. Second day I went to the beach which was a great location from my hotel, but when I got back to the hotel they proceeded To tell me that the TV is still broken. I just feel like the hotel was very understaffed and low equipment

Room smell so so so bad. Smell like mold and humidity. Bathroom all stain cockroach in the bathroom. Oh my God I never stay in a place like this so disgusting. Floor was mop with dirty water smell so bad and it was sticky. The beds are super old they are very very uncomfortable. You promise tv with satellite channel we never was able to see nothing. For the price we pay I feel scammed. This place is a joke. You need to removed this hotel from here is super nasty. Very poor quality.

They have shampoo and conditioner and body wash. I can bring my dog.

I don’t really like the property, the “ Suite”was disgusting , The general cleanliness of the hotel is disgusting, the hallways are dark, the carpets are dirty, the furniture is old and outdated, the curtains have stains, the lamps have rust as well as the toilet paper holder in the bathroom, the bathtub was replaced a plastic to hide the poor condition it is in , the doors are stained with white paint, the baseboards are super dirty and lifting.. the phone did not even work to call front desk to ask for extra blankets. When I called from my cell phone, the rep told me to turn my AC up instead of granting my request. Would not recommend this property, it’s a sham. False advertisement all around, I feel defrauded.

Everything outdated the moment you walked in the building Elevator buttons cracked, I walked out of my room and walked 20’ and came back to room and my feet were black, so clean was met really clean, bed was comfortable but mirrors in main area were old and look like they had lube all over them, my friends room had all the same issue, the handicap lift for pool was broken, and I’m handicapped, couldn’t be used. The umbrelllas kept blowing away because they weren’t bolted to bottom base, the food was not that great and coffee was horrible, I come once a month to Sarasota and stay at choice hotel at fruitville road and 75, that place was clean and presentable. I’m sorry but I know only $289.00 for 2 rooms in off season but really not a great deal The whole building needs upgraded, door jams warn, the front counter was clean but looked dirty, Fernando was nice but the girl who was on before him was not nice, I’m a English only speaking client and she just left us standing at the counter for a good 45 seconds before she acknowledged our presence and who knows what she was saying because she just kept talking to Fernando and not us. Maybe the district managers should go look at those buildings? Maybe stay there one night and see how dirty it is. You guys better clean up your act or you’ll be the new motel 6.
