Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesUpon arrival our shower wasn't draining. And there was no coffee available in our room. The housekeeping could have been better than just making the bed and replacing towels. The second morning we where awakened by arguing in another room which my husband reported. This was our third stay at Le Meridien and the only not so good experience.
I loved the location and the staff was helpful in resolving any issues

SwedenThe gym was nice, but it was very warm inside. I went on the treadmill, but I could have exercised outside, it was just as warm and humid. Machines also could have used a bid of cleaning.
Very clean, very quiet facilities and good location. Nice restaurants, grocery stores and sights nearby. Close to the convention centre, too. The area felt safe. The rooms were nice and clean as well, very comfy beds as well as a good internet connection. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive at all times.

United StatesThe main thing that was a problem was the bed. It was comfortable for the most part but I constantly woke up to my back hurting.
The property had a fantastic view and it was centered around just about everything within the city. The staff was also very friendly besides one minor hiccup during our second stay.

United StatesIt really bothered me and the rest of my group that housekeeping woke us up at 8am on the day we check out when check out is 11am. That was the only day we were able to sleep in due to work (we worked late for jazz fest) and they kept knocking on our door at 8am. But why??? Then none of us were able to fall back asleep and it ruined my whole morning because we were planning to sleep til 10:30. That really bothered me. Then they came back at 10am knocking and knocking again. Very annoying. Also the front desk staff had attitude when we asked for water. The water jug was empty by the door so how are we supposed to get water? Besides that we enjoyed the amenities and the look and comfort of the hotel.
I liked the location and the luxury aspect.
