How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The pool could have been cleaner

We didn’t know that we left wallet at the room. After checking out, we went to Hoking Hills state park near by hotel. About 1 hour, hotel staff called me that they found a wallet in our room we stayed. We went back to hotel to get it. We really appreciated their prompt action and services.

Room did not have couch or love seat. Bed was too far over for tv. No bread selection for gluten free customers and eggs were powered . Yogurt was not good either .
Location was great. Clean room. Deidra was very nice and gave helpful recommendations for dining in the area.

Good variety in breakfast selection, staff was all very helpful and informative about the area as we were there for hiking and sightseeing. Great BBQ place right next door across the parking lot!

Loud group of people outside in the evening the first night there. Second night was great. No noisy activity.
Convenient to Hocking Hills State Park hiking trails.

I was impressed by the hotel. Staff was excellent and was very clean. Will be back.
It was towards the end of the breakfast time frame so there wasn't much left and juices were out. What they did have was very good.

Nothing that can be controlled lol and something you just expect at any hotel - the loud kids at 7am running up and down the hallway in and out of their room
The staff were phenomenal! Friendly, helpful, informative and just the type of people you want working in the hospitality industry. Diedre was a rockstar! Thoroughly enjoyed the large spacious rooms and inclusive kitchenette. The whole hotel smelled clean and fresh and the hot continental breakfast was convenient. Hotel location was superb - Restaurants within walking distance (highly recommend the Hungry Buffalo and the BBQ), short 3 min drive into Logan and 15 minutes or less to Hocking Hills trails.

The price was a little more than I expected to pay for this time of year, and the temperature in the room was not real easy to control.
The check in was easy, the staff was very friendly, and the room was comfortable and within walking distance to several restaurants.

Loud hallways and the staff was running fans and vacuums right outside our room. The ice machine was leaking so the carpet was wet. At 8:30, they were trying to clean up the water which means we did not get to sleep in at all. There were also children screaming before this.
The room was very beautiful and the bed was extremely comfy. I liked how open the room was and the room was incredibly clean.

One of the beds/ mattress was rather squeaky- maybe near the end of its lifespan, but still slept fine. Probably could have used some more lighting (somewhat difficult to read at night) and a table since it has a kitchenette and there was plenty of space.
The staff was outstanding. Everyone (the front desk, breakfast area, cleaning) was absolutely great. All were super friendly and helpful. We haven't experienced staff where everyone seemed to like their job in years. The management has done a great job recruiting (hopefully retaining) this group. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Water pressure was super, especially after a long day hiking. Hotel was very clean and nicely decorated with seasonal decor. Great choices for breakfast, beverages, condiments. Loved the complimentary cookies. Super convenient location.
