Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWhile my stay at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego was overall delightful, there was one aspect that slightly dampened the experience: the limited availability of the elevator descending to the lobby. It would be beneficial for the management to consider investing in additional elevators or finding alternative solutions to alleviate the congestion, such as implementing a system to manage elevator usage during busy periods. This would not only enhance the guest experience but also ensure smoother operations for all.
My recent experience at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled in a prime location, this hotel offers a perfect blend of convenience and luxury.

United StatesThere were instances where the staff demonstrated attitude and impatience. I never stay at hotels this upscale and nice, and was overwhelmed by all of the ins and outs of the place, which wouldn’t be a problem if it weren’t from the parking lot staff being rude. The woman who let me out on Saturday(5/11/24) around 11AM rolled her eyes at me when I wasn’t sure what to do with my room key to exit the parking lot. The parking lot elevators are slow.
The cleanliness and location were both outstanding. There were a lot of perks included in our stay and the hotel’s elevators were fast!

United StatesThe pillows were terrible. They were like sleeping on a marshmallow-too soft and no support for your head/neck. The bed was uncomfortable as well. Didn't know about the Beach.
The employees were terrific and very helpful. The view was nice-it was relaxing to watch the boats in the bay. The workout facility was good except for the room was very warm.

United StatesI’m on a budget and I need a good place to stay and we always stay at the Hyatt and Anaheim when we go to Disneyland and I didn’t see any to change things so we booked a Hyatt in San Diego for our event here. It’s a little pricey, but worth it splurge if you can .(Even though it was, it was equal to those around the area )As above only thing I didn’t like was a stain on the carpet and it was very noticeable and I reported and the cleaning crew came up to assess, and I’m sure they’ll fix the problem, it was a visual I could’ve done without .
Drove in from Los Angeles area for a two night stay, reserved A king size bed with a Bayview-Disability room with a step in shower. Location was absolutely insane. Woke up with the harbor in view. Absolutely great went to bed with the sun going down insane again, just relaxing and comfortable on the couch/chase With a cup of tea after a long day of sightseeing tours and food, food food. Came to San Diego for my daughter’s reenlistment(Eighth, it being her retirement in four years), Also, very proud of her. As a bonus, her boyfriend proposed on the kissing statues it was just incredible. By the way, We did within walking distance or a very short trip. That was comfy and Rumi with the AC set at 71. The room was tempered very comfortably lighting in the bathroom extra drawers and closet. Space all the amenities noted and in working good condition didn’t watch too much TV. Used Phone for Service food was delicious. Had pizza and a Caesar salad and carrot cake. You must try moist and yummy. It’s wonderful. I’d say the best part about my day was the initial greet.: A staff member by the name of Arnold S, He was so professional I couldn’t stand myself, greeted us with a smile and courtesy and patience, he went beyond I believe his duty to make us feel at home and that we understood where things were how things worked. Give us some ideas on what we could do at the hotel offered where our room was in the breakfast. The hotel just went out of his way to make sure our stay from the we spoke with him to the moment we checked out, he was absolutely professional and the first person I spoke with at the hotel and I had hoped to see him when we left to thank him for such a great opportunity to be here with my family at the Hyatt and his explanation offered regarding Hyatt and things outside the Hyatt that were offered by the Hyatt. If you know what I mean. Thank you again Arnold you made our stay welcoming and we will come back.

United StatesRooms and food were pricey, so we were had to limit our stay there. It would be nice, if there was a special rate for SD County residents sometimes.
Loved looking at the boats in the bay, and viewing Coronado across the bay. Being by Seaport Village, the Midway, Rady Shell, Petco Park, Convention Center, Gaslamp, Little Italy, etc. makes this location perfect access point.
