My key code didn’t work on the door but I called the front and they gave me a new one.

Really cute place full of art and kitsch. People were friendly and the oatmeal bar for breakfast was awesome.

More room in the gym would have been more fun!

Very casual and nice bar on property! Oatmeal bar in the morning was delicious. Tables outside each room were an added nice touch.

The room itself. Needed a sturdy night stand between the beds to charge phones. But instead had a metal outdoor side table that wobbled, tipping over water bottles. Temp of the room was hard to maintain as the sun starting beaming down on our room in the afternoon. Really needed a few more lights & a microwave as well.

The pool area is awesome. Love love the lobby space with delicious oatmeal bar and wine for sale. Looking out at the artwork along the walls was a wonderful way to start the day. Would want to come back on a night they have live music!

It seems as though the pool rules were written during covid and they're painted on the wall. They were a bit germophobic, like hand washing before touching the water, and kind of tamped the vibe down a little. Maybe a refresh? 00AM-5

The vibe was very positive and I loved the murals and the art everywhere. The breakfast oatmeal spread was really nice. The staff was fantastic and I loved the little tokens they gave us for a free beer.

It doesn't come any cooler than the Hotel McCoy. From the pool, to the food truck, to the clean rooms at a great price, to the oatmeal bar in the early morning. If you are in Tucson - STAY HERE.

The offered breakfast was just oatmeal and coffee, though they did offer a variety of fixings for the oatmeal. We would have appreciated something more substantial. As far as we know, the only coffee offered was during breakfast.

We greatly appreciated the room's cleanliness. The hotel is very kitschy, highlighting local artists. We greatly appreciated the EV charging station, though it was Level 1 (slow....). We also appreciated the one free drink at the bar.

Nothing to dislike about the McCoy

By far the best lodging of my entire 5 day long trip! I will from now on ALWAYS stay at the McCoy for my yearly Mexico migration. This place immediately makes you fell "at home" with a deep level of calm joyful relaxation. The staff are so helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They told me where the best famous Sonoran Hotdog was and it was incredible. Then the stay includes a free craft beer which honestly is a genius idea because it kinda inspires you to mingle and share your life with complete strangers. Even though the rooms are super quiet and restful, if you want you can go to the lobby, the bar, the pool for a happening scene

Bed was soooo squeaky when I moved. Not too comfortable. Someone parked in the spaces in front of my room so I had to park further down. So then housekeeping was pounding on my door at 9:30 because they thought I left. A little frustrated.

I always love the small town feeling. Quaint.

Room was fine for us (a couple) but wouldn't be super spacious if you had a child with you. Breakfast was fun (oatmeal with a ton of toppings and pop tarts) but not my taste. Would recommend to the hotel to offer some kind of bread with a variety of jams also - many European travelers while we were there and think that would be a more familiar breakfast offering for them.

The artwork and decor are unique and exceptional! The grounds have been completely converted into a funky mid-century space with lots of options to amuse yourself. The pool is fun and great that it's saltwater. Awesome horchata flavored beer on tap and first drink's on them! We stayed on our way to our destination and then rebooked on the way home because of the great experience and super value! Staff is lovely - great vibes from everyone!

The mattress was uncomfortable. With just one chair in the room, people seem to sit along the edges of the bed resulting in indentations that were uncomfortable for sleeping.

The murals and art. The saltwater pool and games. The two complimentary drinks!

I think getting blackout curtains would help keep the room cool during the hottest part of the day. Possibly, getting triangle tarps to generate more shaded areas.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was just the right size and clean! I enjoyed the free oatmeal bar breakfast and appreciated the effort to share about local attractions (discounts!).

The location isn't as bad as it could have been in that the motel/hotel is nicely situated by a number of highways with easy access. I was hoping for something more walkable, there's really nothing to walk to except a walking trail, but our to-do list often put us on the highway anyway. And downtown parking was much easier than I expected too. We had a rental car, flew in from the east coast, so it took a few days to get the western perspective.

Hotel McCoy was easy to spot from the highway so the initial arrival was a breeze. The staff was welcoming and gracious (and we interacted with many people). I was surprised how much my sister like the place, she especially liked the art and when we spent time later in Tucson I could see wall art as a large theme for the city. Our room was fine, clean and modern feeling. No real closet but hooks were all we needed anyway. We loved the tables on the sidewalk outside the rooms and spent time there reading, researching and snacking. If you can believe, our pool time was spoiled by rain and slightly chilly weather but the hotel is set up for fun. Actually, there's a lot set up for fun. We saw many families enjoying the pool or outdoor games, etc. The food truck was handy to have on arrival and a different one appeared during our stay for variety. I couldn't get in synch with my sister for bar time so we squandered one chit but options are fine. We both liked the oatmeal bar and all the toppings, coffee with options, and the pop tarts. It was a really quick drive to the tourist parts of downtown, we actually spent equal time going the other way, so I would definitely stay at Hotel McCoy again. I'm old enough to have stayed at a motel like this when it was new.

I would have liked an actual closet rather than just hooks to hang up clothing.

We loved the funky vibe of the place and all the art everywhere. It was pouring rain when we got to the hotel, but it was so fun and cozy to hang out at the bar and chat with the super-friendly staff. The room itself wasn't big, although it had everything we needed and was very clean.
