Only thing I didn’t like was having to leave, this place is great nothing negative to say at all about it

Best hostel in LA hands down, I stayed here a couple years ago for the first time and it was amazing. Was even better this time around, they remodeled so there is more room in the common areas. The staff is so friendly and cool, I always end up meeting someone who’s in the music industry like I am when I stay there too on top of meeting awesome people from all around the world. The rooftop is my favorite spot. Great place to unwind and watch the sunset or have morning coffee while looking at the Hollywood sign, the view is superb!

This is a hostel so I came with low expectations - I just needed to get an overnight sleep and check out early next morning. And I couldn’t even get that. I was in the room for 6 ladies (Woman 2) and it’s windows were facing the busy street. Right under the window there was a metal plate on the road and when a car was passing it made a lot of noise. Even more noise when a truck was passing by, literally felt like an earthquake with the building falling apart - now imagine waking up a million times at night because of that. I didn’t stay very long to check all the facilities but I hated the beds, there was no normal comforter, just a thin blanket, more like a couch throw, with no flat sheet, and it’s probably not washed or changed in between guests. The bathrooms were dirty and full of someone’s hair. It was relatively easy for me to find street parking nearby but the area isn’t safe. Prostitutes working on the corner right there and weird people around

My room was bt the front of the building, there was loads of noisey traffic all night and there's a metal plate in the road that makes the traffic more noisy. What can you do? They do provide ear plugs

(didn't know anything about breakfast-) bed room, bathroom, and rooftop were great. Large spacious rooms. Large common areas, although I saw very few people while I was there. I Had a "girls only" room too which was nice.

I absolutely love the location and lay out of the hostel. Staff treated me more so like family than just your typical guest checking-in. The cultural dynamic was a plus because I met people from countries such as Japan, Brazil, Russia, and other parts of the U.S. I could not have asked for a better room and better hospitality. The breakfast was delicious and the people seemed very special in their own unique way. I have nothing but great things to say about this place, and wish that there were more places such as this one. If I am ever in town, I will surely reach out in order to book another stay. Thank you so much! -Erby Foster

We didn't stay there as we were deliberately given the incorrect code the first night. We checked in, went for dinner and could not get back in as the code to enter the door was incorrect. We waited for almost 40 minutes in the drizzle. After 40 minutes two other people came along and let themselves in with the correct code. Both my daughter and I had the feeling that this was deliberately done, as we had a bad vibe from the front desk host immediately upon arrival. We were also supposed to be sharing the same room with her. Needless to say we left that night and asked for a complete refund. They only refunded us part so far, I've been emailing and calling to get the other half. which they have no reason to hold. The front desk girl had zero empathy and pretended that she did not know that we had the incorrect code. We were glad to go elsewhere in any case, as the room smelled very musty and vibes were weird.

earplugs are neccesary as the room faces the street and there's a lot of traffic noise. the room was cold so you will likely need to ask for an extra blanket (the staff don't hestitate to give you one)

there is a bidet in the women's bathroom that is just *chefs kiss* (temp control and dryer setting). i appreciated how much effort the staff put into making the place feel welcoming and hospitable. everyone i stayed with was respectful. the space was clean, the common area was easy to navigate and never too busy. lockers were abundant

Street noise from cars on the road.Just wear ear plugs.

Always super clean.The staff is pretty nice too and helpful.They have a nice size room with lockers for the all 12 all female dorm room.They have a mixed room too but I haven't stayed in that one.The Showers and restrooms are out in the hallway.They provide a decent breakfast each morning.There is a nice area for seating in both the living room area and by the pool table. The hostel is in a good location of Hollywood on Melrose and Western.Close by Paramount Studios and shops on Melrose(Lebrea and Fairfaix)Bus stops out front.

The noise outside the window from the road. Cars were riding by, and in front of the building there is a metal covering on the ground from what looks like unfinished construction, making it very loud at night when cars rolled past the building riding over the metal covering. OUT SIDE OF THAT. I loved staying here!

I love the cleanliness, and the Staff were amazing. Loved the breakfast and I'm so happy it was quiet throughout the day. The other guests were respectful and the faculty was so clean, It was just amazing!

Everything about it!! Lot of accommodations and opportunities to meet a bunch of different people on their own journey. Hope to make this a regular place to stay when I visit LA. The common area and kitchen is a great place to start a conversation. First time staying at a Hostel and it exceeded all my expectations.

There was no staff, there are steel plates on the street right in front of the windows because there is road work and cars are constantly driving over the steel plates. I had to leave in the middle of the night and drive back home to San Diego because I cannot get one minute of sleep. So much street noise with cars driving over the steel plates.

Nothing to dislike ! EVERYTHING was super cool.

Although I didn't stay for long everything was very good and the people there were super nice. I stayed in the all girls dorm and it really was an all girls dorm which was super cool. Also I really liked that they had breakfast.

There were not enough lockers for the room.Many were broken to put a lock on them.I also wish they had a place with more mirrors for ladies to do their makeup.Other than that,it's better than I thought it would be.
