Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaBed was very thin and very uncomfortable.
Kitchen is very clean and well stocked, lots of new appliances. Very convenient location, walking distance from multiple shops and the Village. Liked the Hostel vibe of meeting/talking to others. Bathrooms clean and spacious. Excellent value for the price.

United KingdomRoom was very dusty. Cobwebs on the ceiling, dust on the windowsills. Mattress very unconfomfortable. Very soft and most likely quite old.
Kitchen was very clean. A good amount of shared space. Shower gel/shampoo available in the showers. Check-in was contactless and easy.

It was a pleasant place. I enjoyed the common room and kitchen and was able to meet other guests. Room and bathroom were clean.

SpainTo expensive for a shared bathroom but thats due to the good location. There is only one bathroom for each - male and female and it has 2 showers/toilets inside. If one person locks the main door, you cannot use the other shower. The female bathroom was locked forever (there should be more then just one) and not clean at all. The smell in the hallway was something compareable to wet dog. Also very noisy, you hear every door in the building, a quiet night just doesn't seem possible.
The Private room was clean. Jacuzzi on the property. Nice location.

United States of AmericaThe closet where the towel and extra blanket are was disgusting (dirt, pieces of stuff/should clean daily). The bathrooms do not typically stock paper towels or enough TP.
Overall love this place for convenience, pricing, and overall care (avg+ for a hostel).

United States of AmericaI got into town early and stopped at the registration office. Knowing that it was too early too check in I asked if it would be possible to put a few things in the refrigerator, I was promptly told No, that the refrigerator is cleaned every day and it would be thrown out. Which makes no sense as all food is labeled with check out date and name. Also as the other reviewers mention the mattresses are very hard, almost as if there was no mattress.
The other occupants were kind and friendly.

United States of AmericaI was assigned a bottom bunk in the female dorm. When I arrived at at 9:30 PM, someone was fast asleep on my bed. There is no staff later at night available to help in those situations. It would be nice to have electrical outlets for those in the top bunks.
For a quick overnight stay for a solo traveller, Moderne Hostel was great. Cheap, clean, quiet, centrally located, wi-fi, kitchen.

United States of AmericaWe stayed in private room #100, which leads right into the kitchen so it's not ideal for light sleepers. The room was small but sufficient and there was shelving to lay our stuff. My main complaint is with the uncomfortable mattress. It sags terribly in the middle and needs to be replaced. My second minor complaint is that there's no place to hang anything in the room. Not a single hook. So we didn't have any good place to dry our wet towels, ski clothes, and bathing suits. It would be so easy for them to install some cheap hooks. All these things could be overlooked if we hadn't paid $170/nt to stay there.
This hostel is in an excellent location in walking distance from the Village and gondola. It has a great community kitchen stocked with utensils, cookware, a fridge, a microwave, and pretty much everything you'd want to cook a meal. The bathrooms are clean and plentiful. I also enjoyed making friendships with the people staying there.

United States of AmericaThe mattresses in the bunk beds weren't comfortable at all, but for a couple of nights they suffice. The shower area was clean, but very little water pressure. The common area was a bit messy, but not a big deal.
It's a good value, especially for people on a tight budget. The location is excellent, right by the village, the gondola, and bus stops. Overall it fulfilled its purpose.

United States of AmericaAlmost non-existant communication from management. Office hours listed on door, but the office is closed all day. There’s a big table for eating in the kitchen. A big sign on the kitchen wall saying masks required in all common areas. So shere are we supposed to eat? No sign explaining this. No sign explaining what’s recyclable or where to recycle it. Almost no information of any kind.
Conveniently located, very clean and very pleasant environment, good plumbing. And quiet.
