Room a little small, but it is an old (beautiful) building. Do wish they offered a complimentary breakfast. At least morning coffee.

Terrific location! I’d definitely stay there again. Lobby and bar has great ambience. Wonderful staff. So helpful. The complimentary happy hour drink was a plus.

It’s a Miami thing but the 20% tip is included on the bill and there’s an extra line for more gratuity. When I asked about it they said the first 20% is split with rest of staff and the additional is what the actual waiter gets. That’s a cringy thing they do in USA so not the hotels fault but it’s a massive bummer to all parties. The other kind of bummer was my room theme was Hollywood and I’m from California with my legal dress in a Hollywood. Would have loved any other theme than where I’m from already, since themed rooms was the whole draw. It was cool theme, just wasn’t meant for me. Others would like it.

The elevator broke down on our second night.

Nearly everything was excellent. Eddie at check in was very friendly and helpful. Room was interesting and immaculate. Sheets were crisp. Juan at the bar was very good. The shower was outstanding!

The room was pretty small, but hey, you’re on Ocean Drive - no need to stay in the hotel.

The Location is Awesome! But, I think I was most surprised by the friendly staff. I felt “special”, as a guest, and almost at home although I stayed just one night. I was checked in by a veryyyy friendly guy, a true warm welcome you don’t find everywhere nowadays. It was a super super hip hotel, say “hipster style”, which is very special. Again, super hipster interior and well thought of. Most surprising was the personnel anyhow as it was a pleasant surprise to really feel like a “special guest”, although you just stay one night.

There is no gym, despite listing. Rest staff confused about happy hour pricing (nit-picking here but we never went back as a result). A bottle of water costs $12 at the bar 😳.

Very nice bedding, mattress and pillow - all tops. Bathroom also very clean, almost new, well appointed - fresh towels everyday. Room not big but big enough. Overall vibe of the hotel is very nice, subtly very cool. Reception staff charming and quite helpful. Location is ideal. Beach towels provided everyday, beach chairs provided, umbrella available at cost - the beach is to die for!!

when we arrived in torrential rain we had to walk quite a way because of a festival in Miami. It would have been lovely if the guy who checked us in offered to help us with our cases or took us up to the room, it felt a bit like "get on with it".

Price for room was high but I believe that was due to spring break which, coming from the UK, we were not aware of.
