Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe booked a “one” bedroom suite expecting to have separate sleeping quarters. A little disappointed when we open the door to see one big room. Although the room was very big and spacious.
Full kitchen area and the room was huge!

United StatesRoom smelled like smoke - they gave us a new room that was somewhat better. It happened to be a cool weekend so we opened doors and windows to air the room out. Aside from the room smelling like cigarette smoke- the room was very clean. And the staff was very nice. The parking lot and other visitors were quiet and we had no issues.
Staff was super friendly and accommodating- the cold breakfast option was nice and they had snacks and water available during day.

United StatesThis was second time we stay at this hotel that we had problems with the AC unit and we had to be moved from the ground floor to an upstairs unit. When we requested the floor unit, because of our disabilities. Also the towels they only had set up for one guest when it it was three of us, we requested more towels and face clothes no face clothes at all. I was very disappointed and I had referred friends of mine to stay that same weekend, totally embarrassed.
I was totally grateful to Mr. Salomon who help us move to the upstairs unit, because without him I could not have made it with moving my things and he came back to check on us when we was checking out to help us bring our things down. He was a big help.

United StatesWhen we got to our room, we noticed there were no wash cloths or hand towels in the bathroom. I requested some from housekeeping as we were leaving to go to dinner. When we got back, there was one wash cloth and 2 hand towels. Since there was 2 of us, one of us had to use a hand towel to shower with. The next morning, I asked the front desk for some, and was told there were none available. I asked if I should go to Target to purchase my own to use. I was instructed that there was an IKEA nearby!
The location was great! Close to restaurants and beaches.

United StatesI was a bit worried bout location but it was ok. Parts of it were a bit sketchy like a last minute notification about a security fee of like $300. It worked great for us but it wasn't overly nice & no daily house keeping. We also had to ask 4 clean towels. Thought ceiling fan would fall on our heads, rattled so bad. Bed not very comfortable. Staff was very friendly.
Size of place was great & roomy. Nice setup, love kitchen area.

United StatesThe whole entire experience was aweful. Booked weeks in advance for a double occupancy. Called the day before to verify my room was still reserved. Called the day of check in to let them know i would be a little late for check inand again verified my reservation was still available.got yes conformation both times. When i arrived i was told they had no more double bed occupancies available and was forced to seperate the kids from us only for the kids to get sick from the smell of the room. Smelled like dead rodents. 2 kids sick . Moved all the kids into our room and i had to sleep in the car while my wife slept on the floor so the 3 kids could sleep in the bed. I was put in an area where it was nothing but people using vouchers to have a place to stay. It literally felt like a shelter . I couldnt sleep for the safety of the kids since their room was around the back of the building with the main door exposed to the public which had people walking around all night long. And when asked to correct it. They tried to offer me another room for the kids but was on the other aide of the hotel and was told the shower was disgusting and that the last renter returned the room and dint stay there. It was aweful , unsafe for bigger families and completely unsanitary. Our main room didnt even have sofa that was suppose to be in there. The kids room had coffee maker with no coffee pot and coffe that was made for a different kind of machine. Stove burner broken and sticking out damp carpets and musky and rotting rodent smell. Never again. I feel bad for the staff that work and try hard to keep things running. Who ever owns it should be ashamed in letting that nice looking place get so run down. Spend some money and fix the place up. Im surprised the city hasnt shut them down or at least inspected the whole place. The only good thing there is the staff and the PENTHOUSE SUITES. Other than that its not anything i would recommend to anyone.
The staff was nice and respectful and also professional about their jobs.

United StatesThe pictures on various sites are misleading. It is a really old facility (pretty much a glorified motel) that shows its age. The first room I was given had stains on the carpet and smelled. The replacement room has spots all over the carpet, the pull out couch was filthy, cobwebs in the corners and so much more.
The location is great near downtown and the front desk staff was friendly.

United StatesThe location was a little sketchy at first. What made it nice was the gate and the security guard on site. The bathroom had what looked to be black mold in the shower and in some of the corners of the walls. There wasn't a bathroom fan so it makes sense the humidity is just sitting. The room smelled like stale old carpet SO bad I had to open the door and light a candle. There was a lady screaming at someone around 11pm at night, luckily it stopped when the security guard came around.
I loved how the property had a 24/7 security guard. That made me really comfortable at night. The property is also gated which I appreciated given the area the hotel was located in.

UruguayFirst - the staff and reception were excellent. No complaints there. The room however … made me want to shrivel up and become insentient bacteria because only then would I feel comfortable. There were stains everywhere - up, down and all around. The stench of cigarette smoke is a health hazard especially for sensitive folk with breathing issues or folks with small children who don’t deserve to be exposed to secondhand smoke. We had to change hotels immediately, no contest. We just couldn’t do it. It was like being in an episode of Fear Factor, truly. I’d expect that level of dilapidated filth from the home of a hoarder that had been through a last-ditch-effort clean up but not a hotel/inn. It felt like I was staying at the home of a nasty relative with a smoking issue and too many pets, neglected pets, because the room also reeked of animal in certain parts and as someone who is only mildly allergic to cats and dogs …. My throat started closing up so we definitely had to get out of there. Its hard enough to clean a home and make it appear pet free but I don’t know how they expected to clean a hotel room of pet dander and fur. Please, although the staff were nice, you don’t pay all that money for nice reception. You pay for the room. And whatever you pay for New Haven Village Suites will NOT be worth it. Staying here is high-key masochistic.
Nothing. Nada.

United StatesIt was disgusting.
This is the WORST place I have ever stayed in . I was traveling for work and booked 5 days here. I checked out immediately! The rooms stink. ( requested a room change and still!) the carpets are stained, there are spiders in the rooms, the mattress is stained. The oven is filthy . Just nasty !! Please save your money and time. I can't believe a place this nasty is open. It's just disrespectful.
