How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Booking.com said complimentary breakfast but the hotel doesn’t have space for a cafeteria to provide that. Booking.com should verify this before posting such information.
Plain simple basic hotel. Room was spacious and had microwave and fridge which was a surprise.

Wish the airport shuttle ran more frequently.
We stay there whenever we have early or late flights from or to SFO. It is so convenient, clean and the desk clerks are very friendly .

Staff isn't friendly to interact with customers either answer questions. Dim light in the room. The room facing 'El Camino Real' is noisy even in midnight.

The shuttle stopped by 3 other hotels before getting to the Aluxor and was full by the time it got to the hotel and we ended up having to order an Uber to get to the airport
It was in good proximity to the airport and had a free shuttle.

The carpark felt a little open and unsafe because it felt like there were non-hotel guests parking there. Coffee and tea amenities could be better. Toilet was also basic.
Just a short drive from the airport, so perfect for a night's stay after landing late in the city. There was ample parking as the carpark was next to a park and ride. Free coffee and tea in the lobby, along with a water dispenser.

Hotel Aluxor is very conveniently located near San Francisco International Airport. There are a number of places to eat within walking distance. On-site covered parking is included and secure. The room was comfortable and quiet. Staff was pleasant and courteous.

The staff was not very personable. A smile would have been nice. The room was directly on El Camino Real and VERY loud from he traffic and the fire station across the street.
Room was clean and comfortable. Free tea in the lobby was greatly appreciated!

The representative was in the phone while checking me. The same representative was there to check me out, I didn’t receive a receipt, and I do not think that I charged appropriately.
The location was very convenient and close to downtown. I enjoyed how close the hotel was from the freeway.

Some construction noise was annoying but couldn’t tell if construction was actually on property or next door. The hotel seems to be undergoing some renovation, but room was pleasantly large with good furnishing. You could tell thought and care of guests was taken into account. Little things like multiple built in options for charging devices, lay-out of the guest room, amenities offered, etc.
Front desk staff was very friendly while also efficient and professional.

During check out the receptionist didn’t get up. He was sitting on his chair in the back office and said „just leave it there“ lol.
I liked the location, was perfect for my occasions. The room was spacious, so was the bed! It was mostly clean, the shower had some stains but that’s ok! Would definitely book again!

Not very good plug-ins for iphone, ipad. Room was crowded---Guess given the conversion of the building to a hotel, this cannot be helped. There wasn't any shower cap for guests

Comfortable room, good, reasonably priced stay. Restaurants a short walk away but they close early on a week night in May. There was nowhere to eat at 8.30pm. Hotel shuttle to and from airport was on time and a good service.

The plantation blinds did not keep out the light from the very bright courtyard lights. Please get some blackout curtains!!
