Service and the kitchen had rust in the fridge , dishwasher and oven.

Staff charged a late check out fee, when we also extended the stay the same night. We scuba diving and the renewed room about 30 minutes after check out. Also called about 9:00 to ask to extend the room with a notice at the same rate. Very bad service and the manager’s attitude was unacceptable. I have stayed here for years and the ownership and staff has changed . Was family owned and clearly has gone downhill.

The place is quite run down. For the price they could spend the time to update/fix. For example there are exposed wires and structural cracks.

The place is nice, but unfortunately some other guests were noisy. It may be a good idea to let guests know not to be noisy and avoid disturbing other guests, showing respect for other guests.

I didn’t expect our door to be a glass sliding door. It was a bit skeptical for us to leave our stuff while we were out. Also it’s the only window in the hotel which I love sunlight but we had to keep it closed at all times for privacy. My booking said it came with a balcony which I assume from the picture it’s just a table outside but we didn’t have it .

It was very clean, friendly staff. The restroom was so pretty. The staff is very attentive helped us out with directions and gave us a map. It helped a lot. The bed was comfy I slept very good . The AC was amazing kept us cool all night .

Worn down. Dated. Yet not reasonable price, I’m guessing because all hotel rooms were booked for event. Walk up hill to hotel and no transportation except for luggage.

View from common area. Catalina is pretty.

For $300/night I expected much more modern rooms..everything from the kitchen (and fixtures) to mattress were outdated and doesn’t look like it’s changed since the 80’s.

Old torn shower curtain, wood from vanity counter was chipped and coming apart in an edge. The footboard bench was rusted around the buttons and had nails sticking out.

Stayed for just a night with my husband. Walk there is closer the path headed to the Casino. It is a slight walk uphill, and you get a good little booty workout lol. Hotel was a little older, but kept clean. Susie was lovely, very attentive, and polite. The view from the seafront room I reserved was stunning. The room was a little old school. Definitely needed a lot of repairs and updates, but it was clean and cozy and had all amenities needed. The shower had shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel from a dispenser. This is the first time they actually smelled nice. Other than that, I don't have much to say. Beside the room being way too bright in the morning due to the glass window up top closer to the ceiling, which illuminates the bed.

There were chunks of drywall, falling off of the walls, cracked windows in the property. Overall, The unit for which we paid $415 plus fees and taxes was maintained about as well as a low-grade college apartment. The repairs to the unit in the past have been to slap some spackle on the wall and cover everything with paint.not impressed. Water damage to ceiling and stucco cracks and damage to the exterior of the building was abundant.

The location was nice and the lawn looked good when it had recently been mowed.

Our room was horrible…. Stinky, moldy, and old, with chipped corners and mold in the bathroom. We didn't stay in the 512 room any minute after we walked in…. I am very, very disappointed!!! It was the worst experience ever!

Visitors just need to be aware that you do need a car, or use of taxis/Uber/Lyft, to go outside the immediate area of Playa Del Rey.

We loved our room--spacious, clean and quiet, even with a street facing room. We loved the staff--everyone was warm, friendly, helpful with advice. We loved the location--we took several walks from Seaport Village Inn to the beach. We definitely plan to stay there again next time we are in LA.
