Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumNot really much to complain, except perhaps the distance to the city, but that's a deliberate choice, and with the PATH nearby, it's at most a 30 min trip to the WTC site. Cleaning could be done more frequently. In one week on site, we never had the room cleaned, although we got new towels when requested.
The view to the Hudson river and Manhattan are great. There are a few restaurants in the proximity, all with breathtaking views to Manhattan and excellent choices for food and drinks, if a bit on the expensive side. The PATH subway system is only a 7 min walk, the tram is a 3 min walk from the hotel. The room is reasonably sized and it wasn't noisy. Very nicely, the final invoice did not include the night we didn't spend there due to the airline getting us there a day later. Our reservation was kept by the hotel and eventually the bill reduced. Thank you.

AustraliaThe dog barking two rooms down :( everytime the light rail went past. Thin walls, with little sound proofing, can hear TV next door and people talking. The light rail outside the window, ask for a room on the other side of the building. Were informed no room refresh for our 4 night stay. No view of Manhatten at all, despite the photos implying same....ypu will need a more expensive room if you want this. We had a deluxe queen studio and that wasn't cheap. Would have had to pay by hour for late check out, (expensive at 75USD per hour), so opted just to store luggage!
Great room, safe area.easy access to Manhattan via PATH and subways. The room was clean and comfortable and looked freshly renovated. Everything we needed in our room. Great amenities near by, cafes restaurants, groceries all a short walk away. Play park at the water front for small children. Staff were generally friendly even if a little robotic at times. Early checkin was available as was luggage storage, no free late checkout.

South AfricaWe stayed there for 9 nights and they came to clean on day 7. Which was communicated when we checked in and not a problem. Maybe for long stays, do the cleaning halfway through the stay. But otherwise, there are no issues.
Perfect location!! Short walking distance from the nearest train station and very close to the local shops. Laundry setup is also ideal if you need to use it. Even the little shop is very convenient if you need something you might have forgotten.

United States of AmericaThe hotel is close to the PATH station (~10 minute walk) and 1 stop from New York. There are some restaurants close by and a Bank of America ATM. The rooms were decent, but we were out visiting most of the time so we used them to sleep and shower. There was also a fridge, a cooking stove and some plates, glasses and cutlery available.

United States of AmericaWhat my wife and I found annoying though are the smaller shortcomings. That started with checking in where nothing was said about housekeeping during our stay and we had to call down later to find out there would be none during our 6-night stay though we could call to request things. Similarly, there was no written information at all in our room about the hotel or the surrounding area. Then there were housekeeping oversights. There was one roll of TP in our bathroom for a 6-night stay even though the large empty cabinet spaces under the sink area could store 20+ more rolls if needed. In short, the fact that there was no additional rolls at all was a clear oversight of housekeeping. The same with the kitchen area. Little things, such as one large glass but no second large one, one steak style knife not two, no sponge for the sink and dishes, and an almost empty salt packet shaker. At the same time, why are there two large spoons but no small spoons...seems odd. Also, there was a paucity of hooks or towel bars in what is otherwise a pretty large bathroom with plenty of empty wall and door space that any number of hooks could be added to or another towel bar added above the existing one (and the small one next to the sink doesn't really compensate). Additionally, though we understand that new TVs were added to many if not all rooms it was frustrating that there is no working TV guide on the TV to know what stations are what and what may be showing on them. When I requested a channel list from the front desk they copied the ONE laminated one they had at the desk but when we got it up to the room the guide didn't match the stations. We then had to go back down to confirm that the laminated one was outdated and they had to go online to locate and printout the newer one. Why aren't guides simply provided in each guest room? The renovations are great, the smaller shortcomings , however, then stick out.
The renovations that this location recently underwent are obvious since we stayed here prior to those being made. The registration area is much nicer visually (although it's not really a lobby in the traditional sense). The hallways appear brighter. The rooms looked upgraded and the fitness center is clearly upgraded and more welcoming to workout in. In short, the hotel is more pleasant visually. Additionally, the free washers & dryers remain a nice touch. Though, it would be nicer if a work/leisure sitting area with maybe a TV had been added somewhere on the 1st floor. The small bench along the wall across from the registration desk is okay but hardly very functional or a place to just relax downstairs.

Location is very convenient to visit Manhattan for a reasonable price. Take 16 minutes to get there on the metro PATH to World Center.

Austria-
Room (apartment) was a good size for a family of four. The bedsofa could have been wider but our kids made it work. Bed was comfy. Nice views of downtown NYC. Great location. Only a few minutes on foot from PATH train station Exchange Place from which you can reach WTC (Oculus) in Manhattan in 5 minutes. There is also a big supermarket 8 minutes away (walking). Kitchen was well equipped. Huge fridge, 2 burners, microwave, dishwasher. When we had small technical problems, maintenance fixed it quickly. Very clean and very quiet. We would stay there again when visiting NYC next time.

UkraineI had seen these reviews about the air conditioner being too loud but never believed. Oh God it was so loud so that woke me up first days. But I got used to it afterwards.
Location is awesome. Took mostly a ferry (path in evenings) and it takes only 5 minutes to reach Manhattan (World trade center). The vicinity is exceptional - waterfront with Manhattan view, coffee in nearby Gregory`s coffee and the sound of the river. The room itself is mostly renovated, cozy and very clean. Perfect place for several days.
