How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The guy upfront with the attitude is what I didn’t like. Yes when his attitude not rude he can be sweet and fun to communicate with. When he has a nasty attitude he doesn’t care about the customer. We tried to book another room because more family came to Charlotte the next day to a family member graduation and rooms was available because I look online and he turn a sale down because he wasn’t in the mood and said check in tomorrow after 3pm when he knew we was leaving the next day at 11am. All surrounding hotels was willing to take that sale at 2:30am. It’s crazy to because we don’t live in Charlotte and the rooms smalls so we all couldn’t sleep in one room.
The property was in a nice location close to everything. Room service didn’t mind coming as soon as you called.

The ac in the room didn’t seem to work properly. So it was super hot. The beds were uncomfortable.

The room had a weird smell but as far as things looked, it all seemed neat and clean! There were no black out curtains.

The check in guy was pretty miserable and not very friendly at all.

The beds were not comfortable. The pillows were flat as pancakes and the shower would leak to the floor. We were in a room that the door handle kept jamming and the staff had to open the door overtime we returned to the room.

The website said you had buffet breakfast and you didn’t even have any eggs or any kind of meat, the breakfast was the main reason we chose this place. It also says you have a restaurant and you do not. Overall not happy and will not stay again. We go to carowinds every couple of weeks and we will have to find a different motel

The bathroom was small with a pocket door.My children weren't use to that.
I liked how close it was to carowinds amusement park.Which was my main reason for staying there.Breakfast was usual stuff.The staff was friendly .

Lame breakfast. No one monitoring to replenish the few items they had. Pocket door between the bathroom and beds was stuck open creating a privacy issue. Hotel is a bit run down.
Front desk staff were very accommodating. Location was great for visiting family in tega cay. Price point was great for a long weekend.

The tv wasn’t as big as i was expecting, the Bathroom was so small a lil more space would have been nice, The windows should be able to open to let in some air.When i got there i had to pay a $50 deposit fee and had no idea why

The breakfast didn’t have much of a selection 1 banana 3 yogurts bagels waffle maker 2 different cereals.overall the breakfast was terrible and everyone who came in would say how it wasn’t much so they left to get breakfast.For the price you pay to stay you should have a spread for breakfast.

The toilet would run because the bulb didn’t seal properly…I reported it the morning after my first night and the gentleman on duty basically blew me off after he checked it out. Said he would send maintenance but I don’t think it happened as it continued for the next 4 days. I simply adore the bathroom door to not hear it. The smell of cigarette smoke was detected each morning in the bathroom. Reported it and basically told nothing could be done since they couldn’t pinpoint where it was coming from. Also the tv remote didn’t work and again the front desk gentleman treated me like I was stupid and said it may need new batteries. He did go with me to the room and discovered I was correct and gave me a new remote.
The convenience to my family who I was visiting. 4th floor was very quiet and I appreciated that.

Shower had a rusty light that leaked? Never seen a light leak. Bathroom could use a makeover. Very cramped in there.
Close to Carowinds. Good price for the nights we stayed. Super close to the QuikTrip which is nice. Beds comfortable.
