We enjoyed having a room with a balcony and could relax and watch the ocean. The room was comfortable and the location of the hotel was perfect for our visit. The breakfast buffet was a pleasant surprise.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Clean and comfortable room. Well maintained pool. On a nice beach. Close to restaurants and shopping. Good breakfast food & service. Polite & quiet housekeeping. Next time we visit Nags Head we will stay at Surf Side Hotel!

When we had trouble with the Tv the first night, The front desk person just stated she knew nothing about tvs and wouldn’t call anyone. We figured it our the next day. The second night our toilet overflowed and when we called the front desk (same person) she told me I could come down and get a plunger myself. After it overflowed a second time she finally agreed to call in a maintenance guy. My husband had to mop the water himself with towels I had to beg for. But on the positive, the maintenance guy was super, arrived in 5 minutes after he was finally called, and had us fixed up within 20 minutes. He even cleaned our bathroom with cleaner himself before he left.

We loved the location right on the beach. The room was lovely. The wine and cheese meet and greet was great. Fresh cookies at 8 pm every night.

The breakfasts were excellent. Staff was really nice. Room was clean and the happy hours and cookies were great and was a great opportunity to meet other guests. Would definitely stay there again.

Right on the beach, Two pools, wine social every evening, excellent breakfast served every morning, complimentary fresh coffee, ice water and popcorn available all day, staff including housekeeping did a great job!

Needs a beach mat to help elderly and disabled people get to and from the beach.

Views were awesome. Staff friendly and helpful. Pools and hot tub amazing.

Difficult check in. Room that we were given was not as described. When I asked the desk clerk she said the room description on the 3rd party website is not correct, and we could pay extra for the room we wanted. I told her that is why I booked it in order to get an ocean view with a balcony, and it had neither and I didn't want to pay extra. We settled for the room assigned and was unable to get in with the room key given. My husband went back to front desk and told them we were not happy and they changed our room to one with a balcony and ocean view at no additional cost. We appreciated that but still should not have had this experience. I'm not sure if booking.com site was incorrect with room description or if the hotel was a fault, but it was frustrating. The hotel did make it right.

The room was comfortable with all needed items. Great location. Breakfast was wonderful!

The hotel staff was beyond accommodating and friendly. The views front the balcony were beautiful. The pool was clean and refreshing. So close to the beach. The breakfast was amazing the best free break I’ve had in a hotel in a while. The staff even served it and was kind. Would definitely come back.

This hotel was the best hotel we have stayed in when vacationing to OBX!!! The staff was very friendly, the room and the entire hotel was very clean. The room was so spacious for all six of us. It’s so hard to find a hotel that our big family can fit in. The breakfast was so yummy with so many options. Loved the ocean view with easy access to the beach and pool. I will look no further when we plan our stay again. Will definitely be back. Our new favorite place.

If you want a sea view make sure it says oceanfront. When walking into room I could smell something funky so we Checked above the microwave when you first walk in room. There was marijuana vape pen with lighter above. Needless to say that was thrown in trash can outside.

Breakfast food was the same each day and some things needed seasoning or was dry. Ice machines were not working consistently.
