To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Perfect location for visiting Boston and allowing us to explore the East coast whilst on holiday. Restaurant was good (albeit expensive) and would recommend for those who don’t have a budget.

The room was large considering the room size that I left in New York. It was very comfortable clean and modern. It looked like it had just been refurbished. Linen good quality and bed so so comfortable. Coffee shop downstairs and Oyster Bar that also served a la carte which was convenient as it was starting to snow. Every staff member bar one was so friendly and helpful.

AustraliaThere. Were. No. Glasses. In. The. Room. I have stayed in tiny hotels in the actual outback and they, at the very least, have little tumblers in the bathroom. It was just very very strange and I don’t know why. It was easy to get glasses when needed, but I still had to pick the glasses up myself from the restaurant. There were also no ceramic coffee cups or bottle openers. These are not deal-breakers but it was strange.
Great location - walking distance to most of what you would be looking for in Boston. Being a more established hotel building - the rooms are larger than more newly built properties - but the the renovations are great and the rooms look and feel fresh and new. The bed was very comfortable.
