Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI talked with the front desk about the TV situation and they explained that their IT man was in the midst of fixing it but that he went on vacation. Not that big of an issue as I could still use my phone to watch videos to pass time instead of the TV because that was what I wanted to use the TV for anyway. The second night of my stay, my husband and I decided to spend a bit of time at the hotel bar. The first two men who served us were wonderful, however, the third one made the atmosphere very uncomfortable. I asked for more orange juice and he made it a big deal, saying that I didn't say "Hi." I do remember saying, "Hey! Can I get more orange juice?" And I made sure he wasn't in the middle of serving another customer when asking. When he came back with my orange juice, I tried to say, "I think I did say hi, but maybe it was too quiet?" But I was ignored. Later in the night, he gave the same attitude to another customer sitting next to my husband. The customer was trying to get some peanuts out of a jar but the nuts were stuck at the bottom of the jar. He tried to make it seem like the customer was too drunk and because of that he wasn't able to get the nuts out. Later on, the customer tried to say thank you and sorry to the same staff member but the staff member decided to focus on the fact that the other customer started his sentence with "Hey." Telling the other customer, "Don't speak to me that way" when he completely missed the point of the conversation. The other customer said, "Hey, just wanted to apologize for earlier" but was cut off by the staff member. It was very uncomfortable and the other customer was speechless and just sat there in silence, letting the staff member finish making his drink. It was after all that that my husband and I decided to go back up to our room, but I stopped the other customer to tell him that I don't believe he was in the wrong.
Everything was good. I only have 2 things that could have improved my stay: the TV wouldn't connect to the internet and one of the overnight staff at the bar made the atmosphere very uncomfortable.

United StatesLocation was perfect for attending event at Jones Hall (across the street). Within walking distance of several options for dinner after the performance. Once we turned the car over to the valet, we did not need it again until we checked out. Excellent room and services.

United StatesThe restaurant/dining in the hotel is definitely an afterthought but it definitely wouldn’t keep us from staying again! And soon!!
The location is amazing. Just enough off Main Street to keep it a bit quieter and more quaint but close enough to the action to walk most places nearby!

United StatesThere appeared to be only one bartender and barback, although the bar was pretty full when I was there. Good bartender but service was a little slow due to the volume.
The location was perfect--right in the middle of the theater district. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was spotless and bright with windows on two sides. The complimentary breakfast was delicious.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while in Houston for a concert. We had a corner suite which was really comfortable. Great bed and pillows. Free water and snacks were a nice touch. Buffet breakfast was decent, and we treated ourselves to the restaurant a la carte option on the last morning, which was excellent. Very helpful and friendly staff.

United StatesThe breakfast was just ok. Some of the items served could be improved (very runny eggs), but overall it was nice to have it included.
The location (theatre district) was excellent. Surprisingly quiet for being downtown! The service was exceptional, from the delightfully kind valet attendants to the attentive and knowledgeable bartenders, David and Bob. David even recommended some great local spots, which were amazing and just what we wanted to experience for our trip.

CanadaParking is absurd. We parked across the road in the alley parkade for $15 a night, almost 4x less. On the day of our check out housekeeping woke us up ringing the bell at 7:10am. Not sure why they would clean our room if we were departing that day, and that’s much to early to begin cleaning rooms.
Great location, rooms were lovely. Having breakfast included was a big plus.
