Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesOne of the paintings on the wall wasn't very secure and fell off (it was only canvas so no harm done).
great location. Quiet...but just like one block off the main street for easy walk to stores/restaurants. Private well-appointed rooms at a hostel price. Free coffee and a shared kitchen if you want to cook. Owners are friendly. So much better than the traditional hotels in williams.

United StatesOn the front door was a sign that incompletely described where I needed to go. It needed to say, "Go around the corner of the building to the other front door." After driving five plus hours on I-40, my brain was slow to process the very brief instructions on the door facing the street. I'm finding that a tiny bathroom is typical of half the hostels I've been in. A bit awkward, but I've been learning how to manage my grooming items.
The location was perfect. It was a redone house on the edge of a homey neighborhood in old Williams. Very clean place. Very sweet front garden with outdoor seating areas. I was welcomed by one of the guests upon arrival. The key waited for me with my name on it. The bed was very freshly made with fresh rolled towels and slippers nearby. The showers were separate from the toilet areas.

SwedenOther reviews mention thin walls, that doesn't bother me as much, and we all have to cough, fart and sneeze at one time or another.
A wonderful place to stay. Peaceful. A very nice kitchen. Smooth parking. A good deal.

Czech RepublicNot much to say here really, the rooms are a bit smaller so if you have a big suitcase with you it is already pretty much full. The beds are also a little too small so if you are a larger person you might have to scooch a little but both are just tiny details.
An amazing hostel in the lovely town of Williams. When I arrived the keys and instructions were ready for me. You have a whole kitchen with a stove and oven at your disposal as well as a laundry room. The location is great and calm, Williams is a tourist town so lots of restaurants and grocery shops 5 minutes from the hostel. Plenty of parking space.

United StatesThe small parking lot was a cluster. You may do better just parking on the street. There were some spiders in one of the front bathrooms. Some guests did not adhere to the quiet hours, and were talking late at night or slamming doors. You can hear most everything because the room doors are typical bedroom particle-board style doors, so be sure to bring earplugs if you’re a lighter sleeper.
Convenient location in Williams, slightly away from the main area of the strip (quieter) but still within walking distance of lots of places. Easy check-in/out, friendly staff. Never had any issues placing food items in the community fridge/freezer. Never had any issues when needing to use one of the community toilets or showers. It’s an older building, but you can tell they do the best they can to keep things clean. Most of the other guests seen were pleasant, and most seemed to only stay a night or two.

VietnamFound it hard to sleep with minimal sound insulation between rooms and some of the automatic lights I assume we're going on and off and was coming into my room.
The staff were so friendly and very accommodating. Being a hostel it is as it would be expected. The private rooms were such a plus. It was also very cleanly and the fact there was a usable kitchen was great. Sad I only stayed one night.

AustraliaIt’s a bit dated but not an issue with the value for money.
A humble hostel about an hours drive to the Grand Canyon. Check in and check out streamlined. A large kitchen for cooking and storage of food. Basic amenities but rooms were clean. Small rooms but as advertised and perfect for a short stay. A lot of available parking and close enough to walk to the local cafes and restaurants. Staff were friendly. No air con but a ceiling fan. Great value for money

CanadaA couple of more hooks to hang up towels in the room would be nice.
Very welcoming, kind and accommodating staff. Turned up the heat when we asked for blankets. Good kitchen. Filtered water. Nice to have access to a hairdryer. Lotion was a nice touch. Hot showers were great after a day of hiking.

AustraliaOur room was right next door to the kitchen and it could be loud from those rising at 6am. Appreciated quiet hours from 10pm, could be from 9pm as it ended at 6am. Room was a little small for two people but manageable. Great bedside tables! Was a great stay!
The kitchen was very well-equipped for cooking and tea, coffee, hot chocolate and oats were provided. Great bedside tables in the room. They provide a body towel, hand towel and face cloth per person - loved that!! Plenty of bathrooms at the hostel - never had to wait to use a bathroom and the shower and toilets were separated (hostel heaven!!). Laundromat is down the street, safeway is a short driving distance away for groceries. Check-in was seamless - a well operated system! Lucia and Max are super helpful! An easy 1 hour drive from the Grand Canyon. Great stay - would stay here again!

United StatesOnly complaint was the room temperature was a little warm as it only had a ceiling fan to cool down. Once fan was turned on, ceiling fan would make loud thumping vibrations sounds which did not allow for good sleeping so once turned off, made the room hot. Room had a window to open but just didn't feel comfortable to open for safety reasons.
First time staying in a hostel, and was a little nervous as I didn't know what to expect. location was great. Felt safe. Hostel was clean and the other guest cleaned up after themselves. Other guest friendly to speak with.

United StatesA closet in the rooms would be nice, however there were two rods to hang our clothes. The morning we checked out. I noticed that neither bathroom on my end of the building had toilet paper on the roll and there wasn’t any additional rolls in the bathroom under the sink or I would have put the new rolls on myself.
My husband liked that coffee was available. I am a tea drinker but there was only green tea available. You might want to have different flavors of tea. No worries on my part, I brought my own black tea. Thank you for the hot and cold water dispenser. That’s nice that you provided oatmeal. I liked having use of your kitchen, which had a microwave and a stove and oven range.😊

PolandIt's very nice place for a reasonable price with access to large kitchen and a couple of shared bathrooms. Williams is a small town so basically everything is within 10 minutes walk. The communication with personnel is limited, but it wasn't much of a problem.

AustraliaThe room floor was sticky but they provide a pair of slippers to wear around. The walls between rooms are very thin (just a plywood) and you can hear people talking. I was lucky there were not many people staying at the time and less noise. But ‘a quiet time’ does really help and people abide to it. Bathroom cleanliness could be improved a bit.
Location, affordable and friendly owners. Quite clean and comfortable. Free instant oatmeals and coffee, cold and hot water.

Czech RepublicThere was no hairdryer on our side of the hostel so I needed to fall asleep with wet hair. I found out next morning that is it on the other side of the hostel, at the other bathroom... (My bad, but it would be nice to have on both sides or at least have a small note somewhere).
Privacy, everyone has his/her own room, nice people, check-in and the instructions of the staff, well equipped kitchen, good value for money.
