Had to check in early which wasn't a problem. The two staff were great - they speak English quite well, and were very patient with our very poor Japanese. Dinner + Breakfast is really good (but you do need to let them know you would like to have dinner when you are making your booking).

Kamikochi Nishi-itoya Mountain lodge ligger 47 km fra Japan Ukiyo-e Museum og tilbyder indkvartering med balkon samt have og fælles opholdsstue. The best place, best hospetelity, amazing food, best location, attention to little details. We felt welcomed.

Located in the historical Shibu Onsen district, 渋温泉小石屋旅館 offers both private and dormitory-style guest rooms as well as an on-site restaurant where local dishes, wines and craft beers are available. The staff went out of their way to help us the entire stay but especially at the end making our connection to Nagano when we hadn't even stayed there the previous night. They kept our luggage overnight also and sent us off with some delicious coffees! Also special mention to the delicious food and homey decor.

Hotel Fuki no Mori ligger 20 minutters kørsel fra JR Nagiso Station med hotellets gratis transport. Gæsterne kan gå tur i haven eller i de naturskønne områder omkring hotellet. Lovely staff and gorgeous, typically Japanese hotel with wonderful views and atmosphere. We didn't eat but we should have as the dining looked amazing when we walked past! One of the nicest onsens I've had in a long time (and I've had many!).

Yorozuya ligger 7 minutters gang fra Yudanaka Station og byder på varme kilder, spabad samt værelser i japansk stil med egen terrasse og eget badeværelse. Beautiful traditional Ryokan with attentive staff and a wonderful experience! The onsens are superb. We highly recommend it!

Oshi Ryokan ligger blot 5 minutters gang fra den historiske Togakushi-helligdom og tilbyder traditionel indkvartering i det fredelige bjergområde, der brugte til pilgrimme. Our short stay was absolutely delightful! The hosts were so kind and welcoming and the ryokan was beautiful inside and out. Our room was very comfortable and peaceful - the perfect place to relax after exploring Togakushi. We had both dinner and breakfast and would highly recommend - some of the most delicious and memorable food of our trip!

Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya ligger blot 10 minutters kørsel fra Snow Monkey Park og tilbyder enkel japansk indkvartering med gratis WiFi. It was fantastic to stay in a traditional Japanese hotel in such an amazing setting. The owner was exceptionally helpful and made our stay wonderful.

Kadowakikan ligger 3 minutters gang fra skisportsstedet Nozawa Onsen og tilbyder ski til dør-adgang, varmt kildebad og gratis wi-fi. I enjoyed everything about this stay. The room was very cozy, and their was an onsen inside the guest house as well. The main thing I wanna point out is the service - Kadowaki-san was such a fantastic host, helping with gear rental, recommendations, and general inquiries. It was very nice to talk to as well and very efficient with Google Translator :D. I was in Japan for 2 weeks, and this was by ease the best place I stayed at. Will definitely be back to this place and highly recommend it.

Tawaraya ligger 5 minutters gang fra Yudanaka Station og tilbyder indkvartering i japansk stil med gratis WiFi og fladskærms-tv. One of my favorite ryokans, I stayed there for 2 nights, great facilities, great diner, great location for Snow monkey park as very near to Yudanaka station, and great staff. Especially the two ladies who manage the place are so kind and very hospitable. I have the outdoor onsen just for myself after long trek at Snow Monkey park, love it!
