Iroriyado Hidaya er nýlega enduruppgert 4 stjörnu gistirými í Takayama, 1,5 km frá Takayama-stöðinni. Það er með garð, sameiginlega setustofu og einkabílastæði. Our family had unforgettable and wonderful moments at this Ryokan. Comfortable rooms, good Japanese bath facilities and a very special breakfast. It was the most attentive and friendly staff of our entire stay in Japan. Here we understood what Omotenashi is. Thanks a lot Iroriyado Hidaya.

Atami Sekaie er staðsett í Atami, 2,6 km frá Atami Sun-ströndinni, 25 km frá Hakone-Yumoto-stöðinni og 35 km frá Shuzen-ji-hofinu. Everything! The staff were so polite and welcoming. The welcome seating and drink while staff helped us check in was so pleasant, our own personal staff to show us to our room, the beautiful room with all the little details or amenities, our own traditional Yakuta to wear to meals, the private onsen and peaceful nature of the ocean view. Everything was amazing!!

SOKI ATAMI er staðsett í Atami á Shizuoka-svæðinu, skammt frá Atami Sun-ströndinni, og býður upp á gistingu með ókeypis einkabílastæði og aðgang að gufubaði. Location is a little out of town, definitely need a car, but loads of parking. SO well designed, just perfect

Toraya inn er staðsett í Gero, 48 km frá Takayama-stöðinni og 49 km frá Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village. Boðið er upp á sameiginlega setustofu og útsýni yfir hljóðláta götu. Super nice, clean and cosy hotel with supportive staffs. Location is a bit far from station but very close to central area.

Yumeguri no Yado Yoshiharu er 5 stjörnu gististaður í Izunokuni, 9,1 km frá Shuzen-ji-hofinu. Garður er til staðar. Stunningly beautiful place, great service, extremely comfortable room and the onsen part was was fantastic.

Facing the seafront, Izu Hokkawa Seaside Guesthouse 伊豆北川の家 is a ryokan providing a 2-star accommodation in Higashiizu. It features a private beach area, garden and private parking. Its a good location for a quiet, relaxing holiday in a small town. We stayed over the weekend, its easy to take the train to other towns (although it doesnt go that frequently). The nearby Hokkawa onsen (Kurone iwaburo) has to be one of our favorite onsens we have visited, with the bath facing out to the sea, really recommend a visit!! The owner of the guesthous is very sweet and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. Will definitely come back!

Nagataki er staðsett í Nakatsugawa, 13 km frá Ōatsi og 34 km frá Japan Taisho-þorpinu. Boðið er upp á garð og garðútsýni. Gististaðurinn er ofnæmisprófaður og er 12 km frá Enakyo Wonderland. This accommodation is 400 years old and managed by the 15th generation now. The history is very special. Even the formal emperor staid at this accommodation. You can really experience the authentic Japanese life. Food was delicious, the best food we had in Japan untill now. We hear that the chef build his cooking skills at a Michelin star restaurant and that is what you see and taste at the food. When we arrived we were (as both having back problems) worried about the traditions futon beds, but this was no problem at all! Nice to do from here is the Nakasendo walk from Magome to Tsumago. The hotel helped us with a useful map and arrange a transfer for us to the starting point.

34 km from Shuzen-ji Temple in Higashiizu, Bousui offers accommodation with access to a sauna, hot spring bath and hot tub. The property has sea and quiet street views, and is 49 km from Mount Daruma.... Bousui - really magnificent ryokan hotel which takes special place in my wife’s and mine hearts😄! Room was very big, all over traditionally designed, very atmospheric and comfortable! Hot spring baths were amazing too: luxurious, very comfortable and with beautiful sea views! Premium gazebo was especially great! Really worth it! Employee, who helped us in room was very attentive, helpful and made all we could need to take all the best from our staying! Special thanks for pleasant conversations and tons of very interesting information! You made our staying unforgettable! Additionally to traditional breakfast, we asked for Kaiseki dinner - it was third Kaiseki we got, and truly, the most delicious and impressive! Fish was as fresh as it is possible, serving was full of beautiful and very interesting details! Last, but not least part of our rest was massage in award winning GECCA SPA: to be honest, Suzune gave me greatest massage I ever got! She was so attentive and diligent, made message with so masterpiece, that I’ve got extreme pleasure and relief! More over, it was first time when I feel, that therapist don’t just do it work, but really cares of me!🙏🏻 Btw, my wife never liked massages, but even she was really impressed by Suzune’s work! Thanks to all Bousui Team for one of the most unforgettable experiences in Japan for our all three trips! Really hope to come back as soon as possible! All the best, Lora and Aleksey
